Box Office: The Hunger Games Stays On Top Four Weeks Straight
“Hunger Games” becomes the first film since “Avatar” to spend four straight weekends at No. 1, while fellow Lionsgate pic “Cabin in the Woods” opens third with $14.9 million; “Battleship” debuts to $58 million overseas.
‘The Hunger Games‘ remains at the top of the box office, raking in a total of $337.1 million domestically and $531.1 million globally. The film, which has been out for over four week now, continues to stay ahead of the new releases. It is the first movie since James Cameron’s “Avatar” to achieve such a feat! This week it beat out “The Three Stooges”, “Cabin in the Woods” and “Battleship.”
It seems people everywhere can’t get enough of The Hunger Games!

SHYES! That means that Catching Fire is going to look great!!! They know what to expect now, so they’ll have a huge budget.
Thats what I’m talking about! But did it gross more than Avatar? Because Avatar made a whoooole lot of $money$.

Hopefully now they have a higher budget for Catching Fire! I don’t see why they can’t. They know it will make millions.
