Kevin Nash - Catching Fire Casting

We’re all waiting patiently for the official word from Lionsgate about exactly who will be cast in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. Up until now, we’ve heard rumors, but nothing too concrete.  But one actor that has let it slip that he’s being considered for a role in the movie is “Magic Mike” actor Keven Nash.

According to USA Today, Nash attended the premiere of “Magic Mike” and told their reporter that he’s in talks for a role in Catching Fire, adding, ”I just pray it’s recurring, that he doesn’t get killed.”

Nash is a former wrestling champion-turned actor.

He certainly would make a pretty good fit for Brutus, the 40-something District 2 Tribute who volunteers for the third Quarter Quell.

Are there any other roles you could see Nash playing in Catching Fire?

Let us know what you think.

    It’s magic Mike not Make

  2. infinity says:

    He looks perfect

  3. Johanna says:

He could be a good Brutus, but for some reason, I always pictured him with dark hair. Maybe it’s because he was in his early 40′s, so I didn’t really think his hair would have grayed yet, not completely anyway. Maybe they’ll dye his hair though :)

Someone said elsewhere he could be Romulus Thread… He actually looks a lot like “my” Romulus Thread.

    Regards

Wow! That’s totally possible, never thought of that!

I always pictured a black-eyed Charlie Bewley as Thread. But Keven, I think, would make a great Brutus. Just shave the beard, dye the hair, and you’ve got a District 2 volunteer tribute right there.

I’m so tired of all these casting *rumors*—I want a confirmation. Doesn’t production begin next month, July? If so, Lionsgate and Francis Lawrence better get a move on it!

        • mtX says:

Honestly don’t know, I’ve read it starts on August, I’ve read elsewhere it starts september… I would guess September is most likely.

well remeber peeta has to kill brutus so you got to cast someone that josh could take down

  6. RebeccaB. says:

I approve, but the question at hand is whether or not Lionsgate/Francis Lawrence approves.

  7. Hallie Roberts says:

He could be a good Brutus, but I always pictured him looking a little less old (or at least different hair color). That’s just me though ;) Other than that, he’s perfect!

  8. he would be purfect. people say the world will end in dec. . if it does it will make me mad because i won’t be able to watch catching fire and mockingjay ;)
