Catching Fire Casting Rumor
Nickutopia caught this tweet yesterday from Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP) -
“I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL be in the second one!!!!!!”
What do you think – Is Keke just a big fan determined to get a part in the Hunger Games sequel, or does she actually mean that she’s already been cast? If she is in Catching Fire, who do you think she would play?

Hmm. . honestly I hope she is just a big fan. I don’t think she should be in Catching Fire. I’m not a hater, I am just stating my opinion.
I agree I don’t think well know actors should be in epic movies like hunger games should I recall Carrie underwood in soul surfer
I think she could be someone from either Rue’s or Thresh’s family when they say good bye at the train

She could be a lesser known victor/tribute in the next hunger games.I don’t think she will be in rue or threshs family.cuz rue only has younger siblings not older and she probably wont be rues mom. And thresh only has his grandmother (and his mom?). Plus she could NOT be johanna. But could she be enobaria, nah cuz enobarias lik old rite. Maybe ceceilia, thts a character she could play, I guess, maybe.
After all this I’m thinking shell most likly is just a big fan. So none.
I would really rather not start seeing a lot of Disney Channel/Nickelodeon actors get involved in these movies. I hope she’s just a fan!
i dont think lots of disney/nick stars should be in these movies because they are such powerful roles. and i dont think their acting back grounds are enough drama and emotion for them to play such strong characters! im not being a hater i luv nick/disney its just my opinon. the only actors that could pull off these roles would be ac efron and demi lavato because of the roles and things that have happened in their lives
I think she could totally be in Catching fire. But, for the sake of all you guys not wanting her in it, maybe Keke could be a more refined character. Like some of you said, one of Rue’s or Thresh’s siblings. That’d be pretty cool. =) Think about it, she’s probably a HUGE fan like all of us, (maybe not that big, haha) wouldn’t YOU want a part??? I hope she is not Johanna. I’d rather her not be in it at all but if she is, I’d rather her be someone from District 11.

I can tell just by how she typed the word will in all caps that she is just a huge fan. I mean I think they just started writing the script. I highly doubt she really meant she is going to be in the movie more like that would be a dream of hers. And really if she is going to be in Catching Fire the only character she would play would be Thresh’s sister.
I wouldn’t mind her being the role of Johanna, that would actually be quite okay for me. However she is too young to be apart of Rue’s family, as Rue was the oldest child, and Thresh only had an old lady. If anything, I would enjoy her playing the role of Cashmere, Enobaria, or Seeder! All would be nice with sucha great actress as her!
I thought Enobaria, that would be pretty cool, I think she’d do well if they want to stray away from the age difference.
Maybe she could be a relative of Rue or Thresh? Cecilia MIGHT work, she is too young to play Seeder. She looks sort of like Johanna but I can’t see her in the role (just like the other girl what is her name that is all gung-ho about being Johanna?). Or she could be just a random tribute.
She could just be a big fan. But LOTS of big fans wanted to be cast and only so many were (I hope all of the actors have read the books or I will be super p’oed)

No offense, but for all of you who are saying Keke shouldn’t be in THG because she started on Nick, she did an amazing job in Joyful Noise. On a lighter note, I think she would either be a less important tribute, Portia replacement, or a random bystander in District 11. I don’t think she will be a member of Thresh or Rue’s family as Rue is the oldest and Thresh only had his grandmother.
She probably is just an exited fan. If she was in it though, she might be Thresh’s sister, she wouldn’t be part of Rue’s family because Rue is the oldest. She might a capitol person or a bystander. I think she’s just a fan and we shouldn’t take unofficial tweets regarding to casting too seriously, but I could see her as maybe an unnamed victor-tribute from the 75th Quarter Quell or Thresh’s sister?
Seeder would be the only one that comes to mind, but she does look a liitle to young to play Seeder

For all of you who are saying she should be in Rue or Thresh’s family or in district 11, you guys are pathetic. Just because she’s black doesn’t mean those are the only roles she can play. Posts like these are part of the reason why racism still exists in society today. A black person would be good for a lot of other roles in the movie and by classifying her as only a district 11 person is just sad on your part. In the movie district 11 had black and white people, so she could be a character in any district. I think everyone needs to stop putting so much emphasis on race and look at the person she is and what her acting skills can do.
She would be like the distric 5 female cus she dies pretty quick or she better be threshs sister right??? Not johanna though

I Hope she is just a fan because i dont see her fitting into the cast like the other actors and actresses, she obviously can not be a tribute because all of the tributes are victors which means they will be older, i think that the only character she would be playing would be BONNIE!
She could also play a part of rues family on the victory tour but i am betting more on bonnie
