Jared Harris, Stephen Fry or Dan Aykroyd.. IMO Plutarch Heavensbee is at least in his fifties, so Cillian Murphy, Neil Harris and Jeremy Renner doesn’t quite seem to fit in.. They aren’t particularly large either..

John Goodman or Jeff Bridges in my opionion. They dont look to old not the skinny not to big and dont look in their 20′s or 30′s perfect in my opionion

If Jeff Bridges got the role Jennifer would go nuts shes a huge fan so i kinda hope he becomes plutarch

i think if you aged robert downey jr. a bit he could play plutarch. he’s who i pictured during the books.
Tim Taylor (Plutarch is also described as being a gamemaker before becoming the head and he played a gamemaker role clearly in The Hunger Games and he looks close to how I pictured Plutarch. LoL this is like the third time I’ve said this, but I think it would be cool! Though it isn’t something that HAS to happen for me to be happy.)

Also, did anyone ever think Jim Broadbent (Professor Slughorn, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) would make a good Plutarch? Maybe. It just came to me.

Yeah, if he looked anything like his role as Harold in Moulin Rouge! It’s a very Capitol like look.
The guy who played Gaius Baltar, James Callis, in Battle Star Galactica. He was fantastic, serious acting chops and he looks the right age.

I don’t think Robert Downey Jr. I love him and he’s an amazing actor! But i never imagined him as Plutarch, well that’s what i think!
for some reason I pictured Plutarch as looking somthing like the guy that played Seneca Crane in the first movie so i choose Robert Downy jr.

I pictured Brendan Gleeson. The guy who played Menalaus in Troy. He also played a role in the Raven

If Gerard Butler or Neil Patrick-Harris was in Catching fire or Mockingjay… I may just die of happiness. I mean, they are nowhere near what I pictured Plutarch looking like but they are two of my favourite male actors and I would just die of happiness.
I am not sure who I like, but I pictured him being a little more fit than some of the options, especially given the comments on how in the Capitol people get alterations to be fit and thin and young looking and that is a status symbol, opposed to the Districts where some one who reaches old age or is overweight it means they have achieved some success because they are not starving. For that reason, I think I like Neil Patrick Harris.
Jeff Bridges, Paul Giamati, RDJ and Jared Harris all get my vote! Also, Andy Serki. He could NAIL Plutarch!!!

okay If in the movie they show the guy who falls in the punch bowl (in first one) thats who should play him because i think the second book says when katniss is dancing with him she says “oh, your the guy who,” and before that she remembers that was him…
I sorta agree with you however I didn’t see them show the guy falling in the punch bowl. I know this because my mother and I discussed the fact that that was something they cut out.

I agree with Angelina and Alexis!Jeff Bridges or John Goodman would be great but I really like Jeff Bridges!But I totally agree with Alexis if Robert Downey Jr aged a little he would be absolutley PERFECT!!!!! BUT I think Robert Downey Jr now is good too!Him or Jeff Bridges!!!!!
