District 6 Tributes – The Hunger Games Movie
Lionsgate has today announced who will be playing the two tributes from District 6 in The Hunger Games movie.
Ashton Moio and Kara Petersen are the latest actors to join the cast. Moio is another tribute that has so far had mostly stunt work experience. He has credits on a number of films including Hop, Let Me In, Charlie Wilson’s War, Red Riding Hood, and the TV show Everybody Hates Chris.
Petersen also has experience in stunts. Her film credits include stunt work in Super 8 (in theaters this summer), Tsunami Beach Club, and Bring It On: In It to Win It.
This district’s industry is unknown and both tributes in the 74th games die at the Cornucopia. Little else is known. In Catching Fire we meet two more tributes from District 6 who are described as being addicted to morphling.
I like each of these tributes! To bad they both die at the cornucopia!

Male looks more like gale than the guy gonna play him.
I wish they matched the actors to the looks of the districts more. Like district 4 is obviously the strawberry blonde and blue green eyes people, but the actors aren’t. I shope Cato and Clove are great, Clove with the dark brown hair and green eyes. It just seems like all the actors are waaaay too old.

Um…. aren’t these tributes supposed to be teens and kids? Is it just me or do they all look a little on the old side? I mean some are really great. Like Glimmer and foxface. The others…. well lets just say that I’m glad most only make it to the Cornucopia.
I agree with you Rose, but at least district 4 doesn’t have to big of a part in the first book/movie! So far my favorite tributes are Marvel and Glimmer! They match the description almost perfectly!!!

They remind me of young Haymitch and Maysilee Donner in catching fire.
I see the girl as Maysilee. But I like them.
He looks more like Gale than the other.
I am keep trying, unsuccessfully, accept the cast.
No offense Lucas, or The Guy, but Ashton does not look like Gale. I can see where ya’ll might get it, I think it’s mostly the olivey, tan skin! But I don’t think anyone is as good as Liam! For those of you that doubt his acting skills or haven’t seen a movie he was in…… watch the Last Song! I watched it just to see Liam act, and I was not disapointed! I can’t wait to watch him play Gale!!!!
@MAR …. I agree!!!! I love Liam, just re reading the Hunger Games book and now I can picture Liam as Gale in the woods. He is big and muscly just need some tan
the tributes are a little old all around their early twenties but they are good .. some cast has been a bit dissapointing looks-wise but i trust suzanne if she saw them audition which she did
and they kinda have to make them arounf twenty now cuz of katniss and peeta being played by early20s..
and i cant wait for the movie!!!i really hope josh steps up as peeta becuz i havent liked alot of his movies but i trust him…

i agree with so many of u and yes the casting choices have been the biggest disappointments but u guys r just judging based on looks and i used to agree with many o fu guys and literally almost cried and threw up when josh hutcherson was given the part of peeta with peeta being my fave character and all but come on guys, judging before the movie even comes out……… please dont be haters go hate miley cyrus for all i care but leave the hunger games casting alone. btw i love these choices and yeah too bad they only make it to the cornocopia.
Mar, I’m not saying that he looks like Gale or whatever. Just commented that between him and Liam, I would prefer a thousand times Ashton. I’m not talking about performance, but about appearance.
Do not know if Ashton can perform well or not, but in this question he is better than Liam. As I said before, I am not criticizing the actors, just do not agree because there are people better to play such roles who even try.
Another thing, I’m not judging, I’m just giving my opinion.
But, away this, can’t wait to the movie too!

I think that the actors and actresss are a bit to old, some of them i can understand because the ages are 12 to 18 for the games but like th majority of the people in the games are nearly close to kids. i think that they couldve picked a better katniss but i guess she fits and i like who plays peeta and gale…im not sure about who plays rue…i mean i saw who they picked and im really not THAt impressed but sadleyto those of us who think and couldve prob picked a better cast theres nothing we could do.. i especially think that the guy who plays sirius black in harry potter would make a good haymitch idk lol…
