Looks like its picking up again! Just received my 27th Hunger Games cast reply, this time from District 9 Tribute Boy Imanol Yepez-Frias!! As much as I don’t like to play favorites when it comes to my HG replies, as each one is unique in their own way, I have to say, this one might be the one of the top coolest HG replies so far!
I’ve been trying to contact Imanol for quite some time, but could never seem to find any info on an agency that represented him. I tried some email contact which I thought might work, but never heard anything back. So I started doing a bit more research and happened to run across a personal address. So on the off chance, I sent a request to it and hoped for the best!
And bingo! It worked! And was quite surprised at the return! Imanol graciously signed my 4x6 tribute photo on the front and back, signed my custom HG card and added a note to it in reference to my friend who introduced me to the books!
He also took the time to fill out my Q&A with some very well thought answers and told me I was his very first fan mail letter ever in reply to my one question! Which is always cool to hear!
He even sent a nice handwritten letter thanking me for writing and asking if I could send him another one of these pictures, which I’m guessing he is referring to the custom card or maybe the tribute photo, but I’ll happily send him one of each! And he signed it with a HUGE signature at the bottom and beneath it wrote “I still have to work on my signature” which I think looks pretty cool already!
This also marks my completion of District 9 tributes with my reply from Annie Thurman last month!
I prefer not to give the address out at this time or give any hints on how I found it, being that it was a personal address, but will ask him in my next letter if he’s okay with me posting it or if he has another address he’d prefer fans send mail to. Thanks Imanol!
