Lorne grunted sharply as she tried to regain her strength to help Mark to battle this interloper. The pain in her lower left rib outweighed her leg by far, but she managed to crawl to the far side of the barn no worse than before. Her eyes caught the glimmer of rusty metal from the moonlight coming from the high broken window, and she reached up for what looked like a rake or spade.
