twilight vs. harry potter

Postby kiralouise » Mon May 21, 2012 12:53 am

am i the only one getting really freaking tired of seeing this argument?

so, i went onto facebook today and i see my friend bashing twilight and let's all realize that, it seems all twilight hate surfaces to a boiling point when a new movie comes out. and i can relate to hating a book because believe me, certain books do get on my nerves. but then again i'm also extremely hypocritical.

but that doesn't even bother me. you can hate twilight all you want, sure, but it really bothers me when harry potter fans say that twilight isn't literature. twilight is a really good book and i think the whole loving someone you can't have thing is a really beautiful twist to all of the happy endings you read about. the worst thing though is when those harry potter fans laugh at your butthurt, then someone bashes harry potter and it's like "OH NO YOU DIDNT YOU LITTLE TWIT I'LL FLIP A TABLE ON YOU RAGE INTERNET TROLL MEME LOL OWNED!!!!!!!"

...i mean.

really?

I asked my mom for a new obok, and she got me The Short Life of Bree Tanner (a minor character in Twillight, this book is written by the same Sthephien Myer) and I was like "Mom, everyone says Twillight stinks, I'm not reading this book" and my mom got all mad at me for not trying out a new book, so she ended up reading it, as soon as she finihsed, she walked up to me and said "I am so sorry or trying to get you to read this book"

Man: There’s been a lot of talk recently about PDs, um Katniss, have you been using performance enhancing drugs?

Katniss: Absolutely not.

Man: Ok, follow up for Peeta; Have you been using performance reducing drugs?

My mom said it was very poorly written, and I find that I agree with my mom's opion on books a lot (Last Book in the Universe, The Call, Snow Child, ect)

i think it was meant to have a casual writing style, not fantastic, yknow? Bree's a very downtrodden character, so it makes sense.

So I just read it, and to be honest, I think that a girl in my english class can poop out a better story...

Aww.
Well, I think it was really great. Might just be cause I love bree more than I love sparkles and having the last word, but meh. I thought it was pretty awesome.
