I feel like you guys are kind of giving Astrid a lot less credit then she deserves.

She was kind of traumatized in that book. Which you'd know if you read the rest of the books...Yeah, she's smart. People acknowledge that. She's called 'Blondie' and 'Barbie' and a whole bunch of other stuff in other books because, people think she's pretty. In the other books, Sam and her fought like, a bazillion times. They didn't speak to each other for basically the entire 4th book.

I like Astrid. I personally do. I didn't really think she was annoying in the books, she goes through a lot actually.... She's only human guys.....

That's where I don't really understand how she gets on your guys' nerves. Nothing really made her seem annoying to me in the books. I thought she was just some smart girl. Like, Sam says in the book that he's seen her around the school and that he kind of liked her before this....So it's not like boom.

In love.

I mean, she has her autistic, super powerful little brother to take care of, and then gets harassed by Drake. I mean, for real. I never thought she was shallow at any part in the book.

She's annoying because she thinks she's superior to pretty much everyone else. She's always going on about her smartness and her "love" with Sam is shallow, because before they'd never even spoken once to each other. You expect two teenage kids to fall in love after like four or five days?

She's just so annoying and ugh.
