Hello, lovely people!

A big, big suggestion that we get a lot is for a chat box on myhungergames.com so that fans can connect and we don't spam up the forum. While we understand that this is a brilliant idea and there are a lot of good things that could come from it we are not going to put a chat box up.

Unless we have a site moderator on the chatbox 24 hours a day monitoring everything that is written, we won't be able to do it. There is a duty of care we have for our users, as a lot of them are under 13 years old. We want to make everyone have a happy time on the site, and admittedly, it takes enough time to moderate the forums already.

I'm not a moderator, but I'm on almost 24/7...

Anyway, maybe what we could do if we ever had a chatbox is a few selected, responsible moderators. This way it'd be easier to monitor the chat feed, and it helps that a lot of the users on here are on different time zones.

I love that you're eager to help out, but because of the amount of hits we get, I think it'd be impossible to delete spam, delete certain users, moderate conversations and watch everything, no matter if there is someone on ALL THE TIME.

Aww, we could do something like have a few members allowed (like we could vote on them, for example we could vote on missingllama, she would be allowed in, but if a spammer tried, we just wouldn't vote them in)

I don't know, I mean, I can always watch the forums all the time and detect when something goes awry
