1. He COMFORTED her in the first book when they were in the CAVE. Duhhh ;)
2. It's a metaphor! And it's symbolism for HOPE. If he hadn't given her the bread, her and her family would have DIED.
3. Umm, last time I checked, Gale didn't have a cool nickname? Katniss, the girl on fire. Peeta, the boy with the bread. And... Gale??

No, this is supposed to be "instructions" for boys in real life to be more like Peeter Smellark, but when applied to real life it makes no sense at all

To #2: It's a stupid symbolism for hope, because oh, whenever I think of hope I automatically think of weeds!
#3 That's absolutely stupid. Not only is that irrelevant and meaningless to the conversation/point, but I'd rather have no nickname than a stupid one.

Meet a girl. Start to like her. Get her to trust you. Then argue with her about everything she says. Then avoid her when she comes back from the hunger games. Then help make some bombs that kill her sister that she loves more than anything in the world. Then leave without saying goodbye and never come back. Then go kiss some other girls in District 2.

Like they always say, don't fight fire with fire.

Reality check, pretty much all of that is untrue, genius  Especially that freaking last half, people aaaaalways have to resort to that because that's the only thing bad they can think of to say about Gale :|

For one, when the hell has Gale EVER argued with Katniss? He's freaking risked getting in serious trouble millions of times for her and what she thought was right: in District 13 when he WRESTLED and broke Boggs' nose so she could get away from a meeting; when they were visiting the "hospital" in a different District and he directly disobeyed commands from both Haymitch, Plutarch and Boggs to help Katniss take down the Capitol hovercrafts; when he's always sided with her for EVERYTHING she does, especially when it comes to a vote.

If he ever has argued with Katniss, then it was because she was wrong and he needed to correct her--girls don't need pushovers like Peeta who'll agree to anything you say, girls need someone who can lead them onto the right path, support them when they're right and correct them when they're wrong, or else who knows what'll happen if they make the wrong choice?

Two, HE DID NOT FREAKING AVOID HER. This is the TOTAL OPPOSITE of the truth. You know what Gale had to do? Work, unlike a certain smelly baker whom we won't mention. He worked 12 hours EVERY DAY in the mines. It was terrible. Do you even know how dangerous it is down there? No. Of course you don't. The conditions are terrible and it's so freaking horrifying, especially since this was hundreds of years after miners had already cleared away most of the coal so they had to go even deeper down into the ground, when in present day they already go like 1,000 feet down below sea level.

The only rest he could get was on Sundays. Every other day he was too tired to even move much because he needed to get sleep to re-energize. And you know what he did? He saved ALL his Sundays for Katniss. He even put off teaching his little brother Rory to hunt, which just shows you how important Katniss is to him because he puts his family above all else. He did this just to spend time with her, because he loved her that much. If he was "avoiding her," it wasn't because he wanted to. Far from it.

And third, he did not kill Prim. I've explained this stupid point so many times on this forums already that it's getting really, really old. I'm sick and tired of explaining this. HE DID NOT KILL PRIM. For one, it might not have even been his bombs. Who the heck knows? Katniss says he probably didn't kill her either. She just can't shake off the CONNECTION between the bombs, Gale's blueprints, and Prim's death, just like she can't shake off the stupid connection she somehow made between Peeter, loaves of bread and weeds. If you need another point, if I made you a knife and I gave it to you and you killed someone with it, did I kill that person or did you? Answer that. Gale had NO control over who used his bombs. Maybe Coin saw them, thought they were perfect in her plans, and used them without his knowing.

If you're going to make something for Gale, make it like this:

"You should be more like Gale Hawthorne. Meet a girl. Share in each other's hurt because you understand what each is going through. Become best friends. Know each other like the back of your hands. Cheer her on when she's feeling down, make her laugh because you're the only one who can, and take care of her when she's hurt or injured. Never, ever give up loving her until the very end, even if she somehow for some stupid reason falls in love with a dumpy baker's son named after bread. Never give up on her. Always be there for her, help her when she needs it, correct her when she's wrong, support her when she's right, and put her above all else. Give up everything and more for her. She's that special to you."

Wow. That's a lot of words.

Okay, so at first I wasn't gonna reply, because I didn't want to argue, but I just have to say one thing. I never said that Gale killed Prim. I just said that he helped make the bomb that killed her. I knew it was Coin that actually dropped it, that's why Katniss killed her instead of Snow. So don't get your panties in a twist.

You don't want to argue because you don't have anything to say, and if that's all you have to say to all of that then that's sad :|

Well, if you want me to write a huge long paragraph then I can...
But I don't feel like it so I'm not going to. I DO WHAT I WANT(: I just picked what I thought was the most important. :D

Okay, you want real life, I'll give you real life.

Imagine this: It's your first day at a new school and you know absolutely no one. It's lunch time. Your family is pretty poor, so you don't have any money to buy your lunch. Then a boy, who's family has more than enough money, comes up and buys your lunch for you. He drops his pencil on your tray, and you never get a chance to give it back to him. He gave you hope that you can get through the tough times and actually make it in this new town. Every time you look at that pencil, it GIVES YOU HOPE. Better?? :D

And #2: It doesn't have to be a weed, it can be anything. That was Katniss' symbol for hope, not yours. I personally HATE dandelions.
To #3: Again, it's a metaphor/symbol. ;)
