I get what you are saying, but in this story not in general, we barely even knew them. it seems more likely that you would mourn someone you really care about more than someone you don't even know. it doesn't make sense to me

Yeah i remember that part where Leeg 1 felt bad for her father as she realized he would lose both of them. but think of Finnick. And Annie and their unborn child he was leaving behind... they were in the same position as Leeg's father, but we actually know those characters. Why do Leeg 1 and 2's death seem more upsetting to you than Finnick? who was a character we actually knew?

I'm guessing mia104 has a sibling or a BFF that she's really really close to and that's why this Leeg death thing matters a lot, so I understand how shaken I would be if I had to watch my BFF die during the rebellion

but I think Finnick's death was sadder to us because we find out in the end that Annie's alone again, and she gave birth to Finnick's son, so she's a single parent and she's probably still a little crazy

Rue, Prim, Cinna, just so many deaths that happened in this book... all the lives lost. Rue made me cry the most cause it caught me so off guard. They had just blown up the career's food, it was supposed to be a happy time for them.

I know! Rue's death hit me hard as well, but i did see it coming. i knew she had to die sometime

None came as a suprise to me, I went on this sight and people told me.

I am sorry, but that is called cheating. You can't just read spoilers and call yourself a fan. The whole good part is experiencing the emotions and shock/horror/sadness that are part of the story.

I get what you mean though. My sister told me who she ended up with in the end which ruined that for me, so i know how annoying it can be to not experience the emotions on your own
