I totally understand how you feel, who she ended up with in the end ruined it for me too
it was even harder to accept than the deaths of some of my fave characters
wow, another agreement between frivals
the conclusion of Mockingjay was wrong, Team Gale always wins in the end :D

Yea, but reading the books are good all by themselves, without any spoilers. So as long as she read them....

Gale's.

I know he didn't die. But he might as well have. He died emotionally.

And I'm not going to post my full-out rant about Gale (for one, I haven't written it out yet, and if I did it would well be over 10,000 words. Yeah). But I will say this was, for me, the saddest death of all.

None came as a suprise to me, I went on this sight and people told me.
I am sorry, but that is called cheating. You can't just read spoilers and call yourself a fan. The whole good part is experiencing the emotions and shock/horror/sadness that are part of the story.
I read all the books though, and I did not ask people, I just saw a forum saying Rue and Prime and it was talking about how they died. And my brother was talking about Cinna to his friend while I was in the car.

You are just jealous because I am more of a fan than you.

Ya, I went there.
mmmmkmay sure, you can believe you are, but it might or might not be true.

I think Gale is too strong to crumble like that
but he did deserve a better send-off than he got, actually Katniss should have told him all the thoughts that were spinning around in her head
he only needed two words from her: "Don't go." :(

Maybe not crumble completely. But he did get hurt. Really. Really. Bad.

I'm serious, I shifted between bouts of rage and crying fits when I read the end (mature of me, I know) for weeks.

For me, Bogg was the hardest to loose. I wordlessly choked on the word when he died. It was unexpected, and completely changed the scenario. Even leggless, I was still expecting him to pull through. Then he didnt. With the weight of him gone, I felt the instability of the group all the way through to the end of the book.

Bogg was one of those charactors I imagined moving to District 12, and living happily ever after with all of Katniss' other friends. Prim, Ma Everdean, Greasey Say, Haymich, Johanna, Beety, Finnick, Annie, Bogg, Bogg's kid, Peeta, Gale, Effee, Cinna, Porcha, Designe Crew, Mayor's family unharmed,.. the notion of Happily Ever After has ruined my sense of reality.
Good Night, and Merry Christmas
