Yeah, ur not the only one at all. I think everyone has a soft spot for Peeta, and they should, but I think Gale didn't really get enough time in the first two books for readers to understand his and Katniss's relationship... sorry getting off track. Anyway, I cried so much. And I NEVER cry for books. I thought Katniss didn't say enough for Rue and Thresh, especially Thresh. But maybe that's just because i expected more. I cried anyway... and I definitely cried when Peeta says "no one really needs me" and gives Katniss the locket. But when she said "I need you" and kissed him, I think he thought she was doing it for the cameras, and that's why he looked so sad, because he wanted the moment to be real. I don't think he could believe that she needed him. I cried when Peeta saw Gale being beaten, then tried to protect Katniss, then when Katniss took Gale's beating, then when she screamed for his medicine, then when she kissed him and fell asleep, then when Peeta was just looking at them... ugghh, I was bawling for the whole 5 chapters. I kinda teared up when Gale and Katniss meet in the woods and she asks him to run away, and then everything goes wrong and he throws Cinna's gloves down. I cried a little when Mags and Wiress died, and when Finnick was taking such good care of them, like they were two helpless kids, but he never mentioned that. I cried when the Capitol workers came in and started kicking Cinna, then beating him, then dragging him out... I may not like Katniss very much, but I feel awful for her. And maybe that's why Haymitch is my favorite character, because we're just alike. I don't like Katniss, but I would help her if I was in the book. And I understand Haymitch. He's not manipulating her. Sorry, this is very long and random... but to make a long story short, yes, I cried a lot.

I felt like crying right at the end when Katniss was on the DIstrict 13 hovercraft. Just because of her feeling of utter helplessness and longing for Peeta....

I cried when Gale was being whipped and Peeta told Katniss to run. I think she is very predictale and if she didn't try to stop them she would hve a meltdown.

I cried because Katniss has gone through so much, starting by being "pregnant" to shooting the force field to getting Peeta ripped away. It was too much for a 17 year old to go through.

I'm probably the only one, but the whole interview scene before the games began made me tear up. It was highlighted by the brilliance of Cinna's costume design in that wonderfully cinematic Black Swan moment when Katniss truly became the Mockingjay. I was mainly moved at the various displays of rebellion in this part, from Katniss totally owning the punishment of wearing the bridal dress, to the several tributes spitting in the Capitols face during their interviews, as well as the tributes holding hands and unifying for the first time in 75 years. I also liked that Rue and her death did not go forgotten, but instead became ingrained in the character of Katniss and surfaced throughout this book. The Victory Tour scene in District 11 was the other big tearjerker especially for Rue's family the people who's lives Rue had touched like the old man who took a bullet.
