If you were Katniss, who would you choose?

If you were Katniss, would you choose Peeta or Gale? Because I know that people just say, "Peeta/Gale is just better." But WHY? Give your reasons ... I just wanted to know what you would do if you were stuck between these two guys? (btw this question is mainly for the girls).

) Why you ask? bc he was always looking out for katniss even when she betrayed him! But gale aint to bad himself

Gale irritated the heck out of me for much of the books because he couldn't see that what Katniss did in the arena (aka: smooch Peeta) was for her own survival. He was just being a jerk about it when she comes home. HELLO? She was put in a life-or-death situation; let's see you do better, bud.

But at the same time, I couldn't stand the whole Peeta-lost-his-memory plot. Just lame.

So I really don't know. I guess it's a good thing I'm not Katniss.

Peeta bc even when Katniss lost her mind, and he lost his mind, he still went back to her.

Peeta, because the boy with the bread was innocent and hadn't seen the hurtful things, and was naive almost. In a way Peeta made me want to protect him and care for him because he was almost lost puppy like. Peeta also took all this time to watch Katniss and never get up the nerve to talk to her. I view it as sweet almost. Peeta was an innocent by who was sensitive and caring. That is the type of guy I want, not because he is domestic, but because of my past and who I am. In a way I am like Katniss and if it came down to Peeta and Gale it would be who I couldn't survive without. Peeta is soft and comforting and understanding and listening, things that I would need. I don't need the macho man who is militaristic and fighting, I need the one who sees my flaws and sees me crying but hugs me anyway. Gale is the type who wouldn't hug but go "who the hell am I beating up?"

Gale, of course.

But argghhh I hate explaining about why Gale is better because I could write a whole essay on it and I never know where to start and it takes forever to type out and to keep thinking about (I have a short attention span).

I'll just start with one that I can think of immediately:

I think Katniss needs Gale because he's always helped her through rough times. Someone who doesn't put out her fire, but kindles it and keeps it burning bright and keeps her alive and fighting. This is especially true at the end of Mockingjay, when her fire is put out and smothered. She needs life in her.

And fire isn't always bad and destructive. It can be helpful and beautiful.

I don't see why he still couldn't be hurt by all of the kissing and the lovey-dovey stuff. He's known this girl for years and loves her. It pains him to see Katniss kissing someone else. Sure he knows it's all a hoax, but it's not like he snaps at Katniss every second of the day for kissing Peeta.

And since he's her best friend and knows her almost better than herself, it might've been possible that he could see that she really did love Peeter.

but he gets over it and peeta wouldnt have been able to survive without her and she couldnt live without him
