They both sound good.
Just this year I was thinking about writing about my life and putting it into a novel. Last year and this year I have really been experiencing the feeling of finding myself and who I am and where I come from. I feel like last year was the year where my whole being really truly came together and I feel so strong and confident about who I am. It is a feeling that is hard to explain. I was thinking about starting a book about my journey to become who I am...????

Hay, your idea does have potential, HungerCatchingJay, it sounds like a very interesting concept. Working in a fantasy world isn't easy because you have to create it almost from scratch, that's why all my ideas are either set in this world in near future.
If I were you I would try to craft the world in which it's set before going into the details, because then you can mould the details and the plot around it, making your ideas easier to develop. But it sounds like an idea you could have lots of fun with and really create something special with.

WolfWhispers, I think your idea is pretty good too. Lots of people are searching for themselves so I think it would be a very relatable story.

Ever since I was little ideas for books have popped in and out of my head.
After I've finished my fan fic I might write an original story on fictionpress.com. I currently have 4 ideas. Which on should I do? I only have to post the first one:

1. After the Third World War, a new breed of humans started to appear. Nicknamed Spectrums these humans have purple eyes and can absorb and generate radiation and electricity. Some of them were captured by the US government and been experimented on to find out how they do it and so they can be turned into weapons!
But one of them, Alex, a 17 year old girl code named "Subject 42" escapes with the help of scientist Damien Knight because she reminds him of his first and only love who disappeared 18 years ago.
Together they're on the run, hunted by The Shadows, a privately funded unit of government assassins.
Alex must decide if she can trust Damien and learn to embrace and control her power instead of fight them.
Is the urban myth about a secret Spectrums underground hideaway true? Or are they just delaying their deaths?

I've had that idea for a book for long time, number 2 is very similar as I've said and 3 and 4 are more concepts.
This is idea number 2, Data:

2. The year is 2023, 5 years ago an enemy virus wiped out half of the US government's files, it took months to retrieve the lost data. Terrified it could happen again on a much bigger scale it was decided a new approach to storing data was needed. 2 years later Protect Athena was complete, the entire government's files stored in the most complexed and intelligent thing known to man: a living human brain! The brain belongs to a young women, connected to millions of wires, her icy blue eyes stare at nothing. Her heart might be beating to keep the brain alive, but sole is long dead. At least that's what they say...

Caleb Deans was working as a security guard for Project Athena when the cyber attack on it happened. Everyone else run to the other computers, he was the only one who saw her eyes spark into life, look into his and say two simple words: "Help me." No body believed when he told them, and even if it was true, it's one life to protect millions, they've gone too far to simply let her go.

Two months later he was made head of security, that night all the power was shut off, when it came back on Caleb and the girl were gone.

He was right, she is alive, but has absolutely no memory of who is. Calling herself Data her and Caleb go in search of the source of the cyber attack, hoping the person who sent it has some answers. But the FBI are on their tail, Data has their entire database in her mind and knows the codes to control every gadget and machine in the country, so they want her back, badly.
Time is running out, the brain can't sustain that amount of information and a living conciousness at the same time, no body knows how long Data's can survive with both. Has Caleb saved her or killed her?
