Please tell me I'm not the only one that cried reading CF.

I never really was sad in this book except when Peeta almost died, but i haven't cried during any of the books. Just not big on crying just being extremely sad.

I didn't cry much reading Catching Fire, but I'm not a huge crier (usually I just get really sad and upset, which is why Mockingjay and The Hunger Games were so unique in my experience because they both actually made me cry). I did get teary-eyed at several points in the book, mostly parts involving Peeta and Katniss such as when they were talking on the beach at night during the Quarter Quell. I also almost cried at the end.

It takes a good effort on the books part to get me to actually cry. The only book other than this that has managed that was Bridge to Terrabitia and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Catching Fire didn't get me to tear up, but it did move me emotionally a lot in many parts of the book. I agree that Katniss' speech during the tour through District 11 gave me the biggest feel. That was just beautiful how they all gave the three-finger solute, and (though predictable) when the man was shot for having made Rue's call. That just fueled my lust for seeing a full out rebellion even more. Along with that you had the 3rd Quarter Quell rules announcement with Katniss' reaction, and Cinna's Mockingjay dress that cost him his life.

I've got to say though the emotional high point in the first and second books for me though is still Rue's death. That part did bring me to tears. I must have read that part over twenty times. Every part of that was perfect. I knew it was coming from the moment they teamed up, but I never imagined it would be so powerful. The sponsor package from D11 just topped it off perfectly.
