  1. Grace says:

B; I really like how fire is incorporated and the traditional “HG” font is used. It’s very eye-catching too! :)

    • Rue says:

I like the background for B but i like the smaller front and print size of C, along with the part where for C the print at the bottom is small and doesn’t take much space, unlike for B where it takes like 1/4 of the cover. I think a cross from the two would be best!

  2. Mrs.Mellark says:

B because the knife looks like it would be used in the Hunger games by one of the Careers

  3. Lauren says:

I think that the best is C. Because the cover first of all is the most eye catching out of all of them. The fire is really cool and the cover is like symmetrical. I like how the knife is in a ‘mockingjay pin’ shape too. Yeah, so definitely C (:

  4. Samara N says:

I really can’t chose between A H and D, they are all great!! I just like how they look! :) thanks for the giveaway!

  5. Stacy says:

I love B. The flames in the background give the title and amazing effect and the knife looks like something the tributes would use in the hunger games. It also stands out :)

  6. Emelin says:

Cover D would be an awesome choice not only because it has a mockingjay in flight but also because it resembles the cover of The Hunger Games trilogy:)

  7. Ariana says:

I love H because it incorporates the hunger games pin into it somewhat ahahhah so excited for the moovie!

  8. Bobbi says:

A is the best because the cooking tools are shown in the same way of the flaming mockingjay as it was for the movie so when people see this symbol they’ll think. “Ooh.that looks like the mockingjay but it has cooking tools on it so it must be a cookbook.”

  9. Kim says:

I like D. The style continues the theme of the trilogy covers and I’m all for consistency!

  10. lauren says:

I think that H is the perfect cover for the cookbook because the circle is to reprecent part od the mockingjay pin and also its like the relationship between Peeta and Katniss because their love can never be broken, i also like that the fork says its a cookbook but with the knife it still says the hunger games and its still a fight to the death ( even with food and a cookbook :) ) yay HUNGER GAMES !!! ;)

  11. Nayeli says:

I like B best because it has a similar cover to the actual HG book. All the others seem a little bit too much with the whole big flames and animals and all that stuff, but B seems really cool (especailly the mockingjay), while still being pretty chill and simple. :)

  12. Savannah says:

B for sure, it looks the best out of all of them, especially with the fire

  13. Tiffany says:

I’m going to have to say B. B is defintely the most eye-catching, if i saw it in the stores I would immediately back up and take a second look because it looks similar to the cover of The Hunger Games. and if people are as obsessed with the Hunger Games as I am, they will immediately stop to look at anything that reminds them of the Hunger Games. :)

(P.S. May the odds be ever in your favor, everyone :) )

  14. I was torn between choices A and H but I think A is my favorite. Both are extremely creative and very eye-catching. The colors and font of the cover would catch anyone’s attention and they’d be attempted to buy it. If I could, I would have it already in my hands, I’m dying to make those recipes!

  15. Sofia says:

I’m thinking D- it’s simple- it’s hunger games- enough said.

  16. Emma says:

    A. I think it keeps the original symbol idea that Suzanne Collins kept up for all the book covers, I believe the tradition should be kept up, don’t mess with perfection! :)

  17. MiniKatniss says:

My favorite is B I think its the best one. The reason why is it has fire (girl on fire. Also it says THE RECIPES OF the hunger games, unlike E, F, and G where at first sight it looks like it only say The Hunger Games and some people(who havent read/seen the hunger games) would think the hunger games was about food. Plus i just LOVE the format of it. I also LOVE the idea of a contest for the cover.
May the odds be ever be in your flavor!!!

  18. Heather` says:

    I like H. Thanks!

  19. Taylor says:

I really like A. I think it is cool how you guys made the knives and the fork thing look like how the mockingjay pin looked on the front of The Hunger Games

  20. Rachel says:

I like options A, C and D, but keep coming back to option A. It strikes me as the most like the Hunger Games cover and I like that.

  21. Julia says:

I would say E. I love how it incorporated the pig into it :) I think it is just the perfect mix of being simple and complex. When I first looked at the options, my eyes just kept darting back to E. I just love it! So, I think E would be the perfect choice!

“Thank you for your consideration.” ~Katnis Everdeen ;)

  22. Sarah says:

    B
I really like the fire in the background as I interpret it as “the girl on fire” and the knife reminds me of some of the weapons used in the actual Hunger Games. It is very eye catching!

  23. Emily says:

    B!!!

  24. 1Dbaybee says:

I really like B! It has the fire in the background, which represents the girl on fire and the knife represents the games. It’s very eye catching and would be easy to find in a book store! ;)

  25. ConnerT says:

    I’d have to say “H”,
just because it still captures the look of the books in the Hunger Games Series, and I like how the image incorporates the Mocking Jay pin with a twist. It’s great, awesome ideas illustrators! :)

  26. Jose says:

B, because its the best one up there.

  27. Musical Shutterbug says:

Option C is my favorite. I like the way the flames are incorporated into the background…and the knife as the Mockingjay is quite humorous!

  28. I like the color blu :) says:

I’m totally torn between A. and B. … So both :3 They’re both amazing, and they remind me of the Mockingjay pin, but in like a food form :D

  29. i love peeta mellark says:

A definately – it incorporates suzanne collins idea and that looked awesome so this will too!

  30. Catnip says:

I love A! The cover of this one is like a present day cookbook, simple but yet it incorporates The Hunger Games. The fire around the knife and the fork that is put like the Mockingjay pin is a GREAT idea! If you were to see this book selling in a storm you would immediately pick it up and know that it was The Hunger Games cookbook! I would love to have this cookbook even if I didn’t win! I’m just learning to cook and I’m 12! :) Thanks!

  31. Kaylee L says:

I would have to say B.

  32. Annie says:

Absolutely D. The cover immediately states what the book, is, what you will see in the book and is easy, simple and the best of all, I think. It stands out.

  33. Rebekah says:

H, I like the simplar look. My second choice would be D, it best depicts the style of the books

  34. Sadie Farison says:

    B :D

  35. Katnissfan1997 says:

Honestly D is the best because it looks modern and sleek like the capitol. Also the mockingjay is a nice touch plus the cover is not overwhelming. The colors are nice because they are like the original Hunger Games cover because it is grey and black with some gold text and a gold text box. It just look so familiar and related to the hunger games.

    • Katnissfan1997 says:

and i think that “The Unofficial Hunger Games Cookbook” sounds better than “Recipes of the Hunger Games”

  36. Jose says:

I’m gonna go with B, because it looks the best out of all of them

  37. Abby Ollila says:

I think A because I like how there’s a knife and the fork thing in the ring just like the mockingjay on the Hunger Games book cover so you know it’s the Hunger Games cookbook.

  38. Randa says:

B; because it reminds me of the hunger games theme the most

  39. RK says:

I think H is definitely the best….it’s simple yet the layout is pure Hunger Games material. I’d buy it!

  40. Natalie c says:

H because I love the way it incorporates the mockingjay pin but with a knife instead. It is simple yet berg effective and if they released this one I would definitely buy it (actually I would buy it anyway!)

    • Natalie c says:

I meant very not berg!! My phone corrected it

      • Natalie c says:

My second choice would be A because it’s the same kind of idea as h but with fire. I just prefer h because it is simple and relates to the hunger games straightaway so if it was in a shop I wouldn’t even have to look at the cover to know it was something to do with the hunger games. I think it is a great idea btw who thought of this cookbook Is a genius!

  41. Liza says:

I like b the best I love the flames in the background and the writing really stands out :)

  42. Levon says:

B, the fire can mean the whole “girl on fire” thing or just “the flame of the stove” and the knife, a weapon of tool?

  43. Alana says:

    A. I love how the symbol corresponds with the mockingjay pin with the knife through the middle and the fire burning behind it. At first glance it appears to be the cover of the “Hunger Games” but you look closer and find that it is a cook book…Brilliant!

  44. Katie Wong says:

I like C best because it has the flames but no crude meat/pig photos! The writing is nice and clear too, which is better than B and I can totally see this as a cook book cover!

  45. JC says:

    I prefer option D.

The contrast between the background colour and the white font means that it’s easy to read the book’s title.

The border of fire is a subtle nod to what inspired the creation of this book, but it isn’t overpowering; this would give your book its own sense of identity whilst being an acknowledgement to the original.

Working in the same way as the fire, the Mockingjay, although different on your book, is still recognisable and its placement is very aesthetically pleasing.

  46. lola says:

    I like H the best

  47. Emiliano says:

I personally think that the best cover would be B or G. Why?

B: because it shows the Hunger games font which is amazing and the fire and the knife make it look wild and catchy, as Katniss and the books.

G: the color is simple, the cover is simple. The colors aren’t so light so they look like a “home cooking book” and it has a plate, a knife and a fork. which is like where you eat, and it is the hunger games, they don’t really eat! haha LOL! well, thats it.

  48. erica says:

    i like A the best

  49. Olivia says:

I like A the best because I really like the fire around the knife, fork and plate. In my opinion it reminds me of the mockingjay pin on fire. I also like how the font of the letters are close to the ones used on the hunger games books.

  50. Kaitlyn says:

    D. I love how the Mockingjay is included on the cover. Since it is the most significant symbol of The Hunger Games I think it’s important to have on the book.

  51. Emma says:

i this letter b is very eye catching

  52. Rachel says:

Cover D. I loove how it has the mocking jay on it and it reminded me of the cover of the books

  53. Tabby says:

I like H best because the cutlery on the front reminds me of A Mockingjay pin which is cool and the font is nice and big and basic and the colours go well. It’s not go to much detail which makes it look for official and attracts you to it. It also has a big Hunger Games vibe to it.

  54. greta says:

i think A so yeah its a cool knife

  55. Brittany says:

    I like c:)

  56. Alex says:

H is definitely the best. I like how the artist incorperated the knife and fork into the Mockingjay symbol and how you used colors that make it look similar to the original book cover. I mean food and the struggle to obtain it are one of the most important themes in the book! Without Katniss’ struggle for food she wouldn’t be the same person.

  57. Kyra says:

I have to say J. Although I like the flames and MockingJay they dont really say THG Cookbook.

  58. Carly says:

    D!!!!!’

  59. Annie Browen says:

I like B. B is my Favirote because I like the color contrasts on the cover and the font design. I also like the Knife underneath the words and how it is bold, because its kinda of a big thing in the hunger games a knife in the hunger games means survial but then its also a cookbook so it fits into that theme as well. I Honestly can say thought that i would stop and look at that book if i saw it in a store because Cover B is such a Eye catching cover. Even if i wasent a fan of the hunger games my eyes would still be drawn to it. I really do like B and think that it would be the best choice for the book.

  60. MavsZane says:

D, It has just the right amount of Hunger Games flair.

  61. Isabella says:

C,the flames look really cool and of course represent the girl on fire. The circle with the knife in it is like the mockingjay pin, the knife is slanted just like the arrow in the mockingjay’s mouth so it looks similar. The knife also represents a weapon used in the Hunger Games. The font is also very eye catching and looks a lot like the font on the cover of The Hunger Games trilogy.

  62. gdawg says:

My favorite is definitely Cover D! It is better to keep the theme of the books consistent with each other. I think that when people see it they will recognize the black and gray from the first book and will notice the same font. I love how there is a gray mockingjay flying in the corner! Those who are even small fans of the books (and movie!) will notice how alike they are because the cover design is so consistent!

  63. Sarena T says:

    C. I like how manages to be both simplistic and artistic, because the fire adds an aesthetic touch.

  64. Elizabeth says:

I like C because when people see it they will recognize the same font as used in the front cover in the books. I like the fire in the background because to me it represents Katniss the girl on fire and the idea of the cookbook. I also like the fire in the back because it doesn’t have a lot like B so its not overdoing it.

  65. Maggie says:

c because it combines a representaion of the book (hunger games) and the food part (:

  66. Lucy says:

I like D because it matches the cover of the first book!

  67. wendy cole says:

A because it looks like the movie logo

  68. Brenda P. says:

    I like D the best!

  69. Danielle says:

I like C!! It really has that hunger games looks while still maintaining the look of a cookbook, they are all really good covers though! :)

  70. PEETA! says:

B, it just looks very hunger games-esque

  71. Ash DeVoe says:

    G. Really caught my eye with the 176 ^^

  72. Kelly says:

I like D the best. One because it is the only cover with a Mockingjay on it and two because it is so evocative of the Cover for The Hunger Games which makes it instantly recognizable as being connected to the series.

  73. Maddie says:

I really love the simplicity of the back ground on D. Its simple enough, but very attractive, and it also symbolizes the books in a way.

  74. Marc Baker says:

I’ll go with A since it resembles the iconic ‘mockingjay’ pin on flames.

  75. Gabriela R says:

D caught my attention right away. I like it best because it ties in with the covers of the series!

  76. Rachel says:

The book cover that I like the most is cover D. Not only was it the first to grab my attention, but the overall appearance is the most thought-out compared to the others. Unlike all of the other covers, D has a mockingjay on it which gives the impression that it is the Hunger Games cookbook. A lot of consideration seemed to be put into cover D. With both the flame and mockingjay silhouette, it perfectly reflects what the hunger games is about. A good cookbook tries to separate itself from the rest to give itself the unique attraction which is exactly what cover D does! Its clean cut and one-of-a-kind symbol separates itself from the rest! Cover D is the cover I would want for the Unofficial Recipes of the Hunger Games Cookbook!

  77. Juniper48111 says:

I like D the best because it is the cover of this same cookbook I already have. I got it a while ago too and it’s been in bookstores for a while so I’m confused to why you are saying it’s just being released.

  78. Willow Wanna Be says:

I will choose A. This cover is very simple and very unique. It is not over done and it immediately catches your eye! The knife crossing the fork is a great idea because it is like the cover a book one. The knife and the fork part would automatically tell you it is a cookbook and a very interesting one at that! It shows that a rebellion happens as soon as you make Lamb Stew! Thanks….. May the odds be ever in your Favor
    Love A Willow wanna Be

  79. Maddie C says:

I like A because the knife and fork look like the mockingjay pin on the cover of the books!

  80. Alina says:

A because the fork and knife in the ring of fire remind me of book number 1. its like the mockingjay only in a kitcheny theme. its really cool!

  81. Maria says:

I like H because it looks quite clean. And i like that the symbol reminds of the mockingjay, wich connects it with the other books.

  82. Jasmin says:

J, i think it would be really cool to take the mokingjay pin and put a fork in the mouth of the mokingjay instead of the arrow. And maybe in the backround a picture of Capitol food from the movie. And the text should be gold like on all the posters. :) I think this Would look pretty awesome

  83. i like the color green :) says:

    I like A. B . G . & H . They’re very eye catchinh.

  84. Jill says:

    Definitely C… Simple… fiery!

  85. Lauren Byars says:

    B :)

  86. Rosie says:

    C
Because the fire is incorperated so well. Anything you see on the book shelf with that kind of style cover automaticallt draws all Hunger games fans, and then cooks as well who want to try something new. Also the knives that looks simalar to the logo is really clever. x

  87. Melissa C says:

My pick is D! I love the black sleekness of this cover; it reminds me of both the Capitol and the Hunger Games cover – perfection!

  88. Hunger Games Crazy says:

    I say B or D.
B because the flames and the background are amazing
D because it is mysterious and cool. Black with a mockingjay. Totally Hunger Games-y

  89. Denise says:

I honestly like option A. The design is eye-catching. If I were looking through books I have never heard of and saw this cover among them I would definately pick it up. It was the first one to get my attention. :)

  90. Emily P says:

In my opinion, I like cover A. It’s simple yet unique. More importantly though, I think the design definitely represents the Hunger Games which is essential to catch someone’s eye. If the design doesn’t mirror the Hunger Games in some way, walking past the hardcover book or scrolling past it as an ebook will be easy if it isn’t obvious it is Hunger Games related.
Everyone knows what the Mockingjay symbol looks like whether they’re fans of the series or not. Design cover A really captures the look of the mockingjay at first glance of the white cooking symbol. And I love the detail of the fire around it and black as the base color of the book. That sets the mood since the colors are right on.
Personally, i’m a huge fan of THG, i’ve read the series more than once, and i’m just dying to see the movie again once the dvd is released. So that being said, regardless of the other answers I would choose A for it’s eyecatching detail and perfect resemblance of The Hunger Games in its title, overall design, and color choices. A all the way!

  91. Hungergamesaddicted says:

My favourite one is A, because there is a high probability of a person know by looking to the image that the book has sth to do with hunger games. The picture is awesome and it is interesting how the knife and fork were related to the mockingjay.
    P.S. – love the fire

  92. Hungergamesaddicted says:

could you tell me when this giveaway is going to be closed?

  93. Grace87 says:

    Definitely cover A….

  94. Mark says:

D, it’s very Hunger Games-esque. It resembles the cover of the first book. The mockingjay and flames are a very nice touch too! Very eye catching design. I love it! It’s almost a no brainer for me.

  95. sophia says:

    A, B, or C.. D and H are good too

  96. Hannah says:

Definitely D is represents the style of the trilogy the best and has a much simpler look than the rest of them. My second favourite is A because i like the way that the image looks like a flaming mocking jay pin and how the knife goes exactly where one of the wings go on the actual design

  97. rachel says:

i like D, because of the mockingjay in flight and it’s just so pretty:)

  98. Morgan says:

It’s a difficult choice, but I’d have to go with B. The style of font, fiery background, and image of a knife are easily recognizable as being Hunger Games related. I’d love to see this cover on my bookshelf!

  99. Michelle says:

    H. It looks like the pin, but it’s a fork and knife.

  100. Natalie says:

    D. It captures the whole idea of the books. The mockingjay in flight in the corner is easily recognizable. The fonts font used on the cover really works well to. As soon as I looked at it I thought this is it. On whole it is the best choice for the book

  101. Grace says:

I vote B. i really like the knife in this particular design because to me it symbolizes Peeta, the boy with the bread. And the surrounding fire could represent Katniss, the girl who was on fire. Since Katniss and Peeta are major characters in the book, it seems right to indirectly capture them in the design of this cookbook.

  102. Grace says:

    What is the winning comment?

  103. Hungergamesaddicted says:

    Who won the giveaway?

  104. MyHungerGames says:

Thank you everyone for taking part.
The winner is MiniKatniss – who wrote:

My favorite is B I think its the best one. The reason why is it has fire (girl on fire. Also it says THE RECIPES OF the hunger games, unlike E, F, and G where at first sight it looks like it only say The Hunger Games and some people(who havent read/seen the hunger games) would think the hunger games was about food. Plus i just LOVE the format of it. I also LOVE the idea of a contest for the cover.
May the odds be ever be in your flavor!!!
