Hunger Games Becomes Amazon’s Best Selling Book

The Hunger Games Trilogy

Amazon.com Inc said the Hunger Games trilogy has outsold the Harry Potter series on their site. This makes Suzanne Collins’s work the online retailer’s best book series of all time, including print and Kindle sales. The trilogy is also the most borrowed book in the Kindle library.

“Interestingly, this series is only three books versus Harry Potter’s seven, and to achieve this result in just four years is a great testament to both the popularity of the work and, we think, the growth in reading digitally during that time,” Amazon Editorial Director Sara Nelson said.

Congrats Suzanne!

Actually Harry Potter is better and Suzanne Collins once said in an interview that Harry Potter is indeed better. Also Hogwarts is not a district and they Hogwarts would win since they use magic…

I think you need to do more resarch….hunger games sales is based on e books and digital downloads and of course paper books and the 3 hunger games books is at 50 million copies sold.

HP has 7 books and the 7 books has sold 450 million copies and this is without E books and digital downloads.

most poeople bought HP books from books stores instead of amazon for 99 dollars.

half blood prince the 6th HP books has sold more than 66 million copies that is more than the 3 hunger games book combined.

this is stupid. As a fan of both, I think people are interpreting this the wrong way. Between 1997-2007, roughly the years of HP being on sale, online shopping was ALOT less relevant than it has been the last five years.

Lets look at the total sales stats before we start to compare. Seriously.
