The Hunger Games cat Buttercup makes a Capitol Hill appearance
Two famous animals made an appearance at Capitol Hill for the 16th annual Animal Health Institute Pet Night. While apparently the star of the show was Uggie, the Jack Russel famous for his role in the Oscar-winning movie “The Artist”, Tennessee, the black and white cat who played The Hunger Games cat, Buttercup, was also there.
It seems Buttercup is something of a reluctant star though. The website Roll Call is reports that Tennessee was more eager to explore the Caucus Room that play with Uggie.
The night was all about calling looking at ways animals are protect. Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.), a veterinarian by trade told the gathering:
“The idea of supporting our four-legged friends reaches great and small. I’m a firm believer that our job is to help protect and care for them, whether they are in the farm or the home.”
I wonder if Buttercup will make another appearance in Catching Fire…or perhaps we’ll have to wait for Mockingjay to see him again.

LOL Wow. Willow owns Tennessee
Cute enough caat but he doesn’t seem anything like I pictured Buttercup. Buttercup how I pictured him was like my cat who is now unfortunately descesed but he was a striking image of Buttercup.
I pictured Buttercup as a flat faced cat that was long haired and orange.
