‘Hunger Games’ spoof, set to shoot in Hammond, gets its fake Katniss and Gale

The  Hunger Games spoof, “The Starving Games,” has its fake Gale and Katniss.

Maiara Walsh (“Desperate Housewives”) has been announced as the film’s leading lady,She plays  Kantmiss Evershot,  inspired by Jennifer Lawrence’s character Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games Franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Playing the Gale inspired heartthrob is ‘Pretty Little Liars” actor Brant Daugherty. The film is set to start shooting this week in Hammond, LA.

The “Hunger Games” spoof — which will also reportedly take shots at such films as “The Avengers,” “Sherlock Holmes” and the “Harry Potter” franchise — is being made by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the same filmmaking team behind such big-screen spoofery as “Scary Movie,” “Disaster Movie” and the locally shot “Meet the Spartans.”
