The Hunger Games Mockingjay

Madge gave Katniss the token that would change the symbol of The Hunger Games fandom. That mockingjay is and will forever be a representation of the trilogy as a whole. So here is your fan question of the week..

“What tokens do the think tributes from the 74th Hunger Games brought into the arena?”

We know Katniss’ and Rue’s but what do you think Cato, Clove, Marvel, or Foxface (or any other tribute) brought to the arena?

well i beilve all of the cereers would have brought a weapon of some sort in to the arena or something that would help them. i know you are not allowed to bring “weapons” in but as it said clove tryed to bring in a ring that if opened had a posionouse spike inside so they could allways camoflouge a weapon. but i cant see the cereers bringing something incredibley cenamental in with them.

  2. Isabelle says:

I think that that the ring Clove had was an engagement ring from Cato. Cato also had one.

  3. Sapphy MELLARK says:

we no clove had the ring

i think glimmer would have had a pretty neclace of some sort and as for cato i c him with a neclace with a shrak tooth on it.

i think foxface would have had a lucky charm maybe a pearl or rock something like that and as for marvel i think he would have had a braclet made of colored sting or something

    • ILUBUDAVIDBELYAVSKIY says:

CLOVE DID NOT HAVE A RING,IT WAS GLIMMER!!!

    • Clove says:

Ya it was Glimmer that had the poisonous barb ring. But I could tell that both Glimmer and Clove were crushing on Cato. Clove just stormed ahead thinking about his much she hated Glimmer and Glimmer would stay back with Cato and joke and laugh with him. Glimmer also rested her head on Cato’s arm while sleeping under the tracker jacker nest. Clove was always jealous of Glimmer. But lets be honest, the only thing Cato had on his mind during the games was killing. Lol.

it made me cry when rue died :’(

  6. bl0atis says:

CLOVE-engagement ring.or just a normal ring CATO-sword necklace with either his or clove’s initials on it GLIMMER-ring with poison thing in it MARVEL-like a bracelet DISTRICT4GIRL-i dunno…maybe some sorta water/fish bracelet

  7. Michelle says:

Every one keeps mentioning an engagement ring (or rings) for Cato and Clove. I don’t remember that. In the movie didn’t they show cato n glimmer as kind of together? Glimmer was sleeping on Cato’s arm under the tracker jacker tree.

    • Marissa says:

      Book > Movie

What they show in the movie when it came to Cato, Clove, and Glimmer’s relationship was NOT what was in the book. I personally don’t think Cato and Clove were “the other star-crossed lovers” like so many people like to guess. SC is way more creative than that. But I do think that they had some sort of connection. I always thought they were best friends. kinda like if Gale and Katniss went in the arena together

  8. sabrina says:

    wait what was rues token

    • Marissa says:

A woven grass bracelet (or necklace, I can’t remember) with a carved wooden star. (I could be wrong, it’s been a while since I read the book…)

  9. Greg says:

Most comments refer to the victors.Unseen , President Snow brings a sterling rose ,a symbol of his succumbing to power , during the crowning ceremony that ultimately he is a tribute himself ,should the fragile power of the Capitol fail.
So, in a role chosen not by choice but because of circumstance he is a tribute also.
Suzanne Collins is quite brilliant to subtly present this in the plot.

  10. White Rose says:

Sorry to be so late on the conversation, but I have just seen this epic website. If any of you are still fallowing this please keep this conversation going (btw love your comment Greg)

  11. Nia says:

Hmm…Thresh’s was probably something from his grandmother. Just thinking how Thresh probably acted when around family. Considering how he reacted to Rue’s death and how Katniss allied with her.

Cato?…that’s a hard one…maybe some kind of rock? It is District 2, but that doesn’t seem to fit Cato’s persona.

Clove….gosh. She and Cato have such a deadly and evil persona…I don’t think she would have-or want- to bring anything.

Glimmer brought a ring. We know that.

Foxface probably brought….I haven’t the slightest idea.

  12. Finnick says:

I don’t think, Clove and Cato had engagement rings. I think Cato was loved Clove a lot, but never told her. I’m so a big Clato shipper, but I think, they never were the “real starcrossed lovers” :( Glimmer brought a ring, everybody knows it, and I NEED to know what Marvel’s token was… ._.

  13. Melissa says:

I think Clove could have brought a charm necklace with a knife or something like that. And it’s Glimmer with the ring, not Clove!
