Jennifer Lawrence and Francis Lawrence - Catching Fire

You might remember when we first saw pictures of Jennifer Lawrence with Catching Fire director, Francis Lawrence.  They looked awkward and I guess it made many of us wonder if Jen was disappointed that someone else was taking on The Hunger Games sequel.

Well it seems if she did have any misgivings, she’s put them behind her now.  Jennifer has had a chat to Entertainment Weekly about her filming schedule and how she feels about getting back into filming Catching Fire:

How much time off did you have between shooting The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook?

About two weeks, which was nuts. But I wasn’t running up and down mountains on this, so it actually did feel like kind of a vacation. Like, wait, I just have to talk to this person? I don’t have to shoot them with a bow and arrow?

Do you feel ready to dig deep into Catching Fire?

I feel like we’re going back for our sophomore year. And [director] Francis Lawrence is absolutely brilliant and I love what he’s done with the script, so I’m happy to work with him.

I wonder if they are related.

  2. Mark says:

She loves what they’re doing with the script! All great signs that there is good to come with Catching Fire!

  3. Jazzmine says:

I hope this movie does Catching Fire justice. Though I loved the first film I don’t think it did the Hunger Games fairness.

What do u mean? Cuz I thought The Hunger Games was a pretty good movie. Sure, it wasn’t something most people didn’t expect, but it’s hard to put a really good book into a 2 hour movie. And I agree sometimes the camera was shaky, but maybe to add effect.

I just hope that Francis doesn’t do that whole shakey camera thing. It drove a lot of people away :(

  5. KJ says:

‘I love what he’s done with the script’ …hmmmm.

  6. Brandie D says:

I agree with you , I couldn’t stand it . I mean the hunger games movie was good but it could done ALOT better if it wasn’t for the whole shakey camera effect.

  7. Jen says:

“I love what he’s done with the script.” Man if only I could read that script….
