Jennifer Lawrence: Team Gale or Team Peeta
In Jennifer Lawrence’s new interview with Seventeen Magazine for The Hunger Games she was asked about the whole Team Peeta Team Gale argument. (silly right?) Her response:
“I think I was Team Gale until he started getting a little too trigger-happy,or maybe first Peeta and then Gale or Gale, then Peeta? I went back and forth. I flip-flopped.”
Alright… Hunger Games fans…..this will probably be the last time we play Team Gale/Team Peeta so go ahead..let’s hear it..What team do you play for?
Oh and for the record My Hunger Games is Team Katniss!

Team Peeta! Peeta is sweet and would do anything for Katniss. Gale is a great guy, but a bit too “try-hard”. With Peeta it’s natural to be with Katniss. <3 Peeta
Team PEETA! He has more of a likable personality and who wouldn’t want a awesome guy saying he loves you all the time! He is naturally good with Katniss and Gale is great and everything but it just doesn’t seem like they have a true love relationship.

The Hunger Games is about strength, rebellion, and doing the right thing.
Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend.
You are correct. People treat this like Twilight. The Hunger Games isn’t only about the love triangle. It’s about a terrifying future where 24 teenagers are sent to fight to the death for the entertainment for the Capitol. Twilight tells girls they need a boyfriend to live. It’s sending the wrong message. The Hunger Games is awesome so it shouldn’t have teams. It’s a reason for fans to argue.

@Sevilen Robberts: oh, we know that, we’ve discussed it many times on every article referring to the hunger games boys as team peeta or gale but this post here is acknowledging what we feel about the reference to peeta and gale as a team and is asking us the question anyways…

Bahh I hate the whole teams debate! This is why people compare HG to twilight!! There are NO teams!! What do you “Team Gales” want Suzanne Collins to do?? Change the book because you like him better! Obviously there is a love triangle in this book, but to most readers it is clear that there are no teams!! She loves Peeta! No matter how you look at it, the entire time you read the series, you can TOTALLY tell that Katniss loves Peeta. There are no teams, only the facts! And the fact is she chose Peeta!!
Absolutely team Peeta! Gale is awesome but too fire-ry for Katniss, they would end up burning each other. However, Finnick comes in close second…. love him and I hope they choose the right guy to play him.

I feel as though both of them are important to Katniss in their own ways at different points. There’s much more to it than dating, and that’s what makes it special. Each can support Katniss in her journey in different ways, and I think to truly appreciate the characters, you can’t want her with one at all times. If there was no Peeta, then in all likelihood, Katniss would have just been another winner and probably wouldn’t have had to become a leader for the rebellion. Gale also gave her a reason to fight, and while Peeta was taken and kidnapped,it would have been awful if she didn’t have Gale to help her.
In the end, I do feel like Peeta is then best choice for her to be happy with, but I appreciate what Gale brought to her journey until then.
I dont like the whole “Team” thing, but my favorite is definatly Peeta. I love Peeta 8^)

Peeta is better for katniss deffinitley but gale is better for me….. so cute! with his chisled features. but then peeta has those eyes that make people melt like a popsicle on july. so then im teamn PEETA! but gale is team me!
Really, guys? We know that this isn’t Twilight…but that doesn’t mean we have to complain about it. Just play the game. For awhile I flip-flopped between Gale and Peeta because of a few reasons:
Gale: He was always the good-looking, manly, suave BFF that Katniss would begin to see as a boyfriend in time. But she never got to because she was reaped. In Catching Fire he became the martyr that caused her to join the rebellion–until she was reaped again! In Monkingjay he turned into the villainous stop-at-nothing killer for the war. I hated that the brilliantly skilled “man’s man” would end up leaving District 12 rather than Katniss making the epic decision as both men vied for her heart. But we all know that is just too perfect an ending to these tragic and triumphant tales.
Peeta: He was too nice, if that’s anything. He’s the guy we wish we all had. Team Peeta!!!! <3
Oops forgot to add that Peeta also thought Katniss was a mutt and forgot everything. I began to hate him when he strangled her and that hatred continued when Coin sent him into battle. As soon as Katniss was telling him at camp everything she remembered about him like his favorite color and such, my Peeta love re-started. The last line was the most touching thing Katniss said, and if she loves him then I guess we all should (she’s the one with the bow!). Peeta may have lost his memory, but he never lost his heart, his ability with words, and his underlying love for her against all odds (come on, am I the only one that invisioned the real Peeta inside of him screaming to be let out?) He was always there when she wanted him (or when she didn’t) and he was gone when she needed him. Every girl deserves to find their own Peeta. That belief in true love is what pushes me to vote Team Peeta. Sorry I forgot to finish my thoughts.
Well people TEAM GALE YAAAAY WOOOO he was here first a nd loved Katniss first..!!
