The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson will be seen in the remake of the 1984 invasion film, Red Dawn alongside Chris Hemsworth and Josh Peck when it screens at the end of this year.
The movie was actually shot back in 2009 before Josh had been cast in The Hunger Games and while Chris Hemsworth was still in training for Thor. The delay in releasing the movie was down to financial problems for the film’s distributor, MGM.
But USA Today had a chat to the actors about being part of the movie, including Josh and his lack of love action in the film:
Hutcherson plays (Connor) Cruise’s best friend in the film and was impressed with his “gung-ho” co-star. “He definitely takes after his Dad (Tom Cruise) in the action department, 100%,” says Hutcherson.
While he enjoys his onscreen bromance with Cruise, Hutcherson doesn’t get a romance in the film. It’s not a bad thing as he gears up for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
“I’ve got to save all my love for Katniss Everdeen,” he says.
