Justin Timberlake in Catching Fire Casting Coup!
HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY!!
Justin is NOT hired to play Finnick. No casting decisions have been made.
Catching Fire is due to start filming this fall and the first new casting decision has been made. It seems Justin Timberlake has scored the coveted role of Finnick Odair, the Tribute from District 4.
Director Gary Ross says he couldn’t be happier that Timberlake has agreed to take on the part of Finnick.
“I loved what he did in Social Network and thought that he could really bring something special to the role of Finnick. We are so excited that he’s joining the cast.”

i would love to know where you got this information because i just read an article about how there was another article that played april fool’s jokes on the Hunger games cast. for example, they said JHutch wasn’t coming back for the second movie and Jennifer Lawrence did not like the outcome of the movie so will not be doing the second movie. So, if this information came from that article, it is most likely false, just saying

This is the first I have heard of Justin playing Finnick. Maily it has been Alex Pettyfer, who I think is a much better choice.
Honestly, I don’t see what’s wrong with this at all… I think JT is a great actor! (After seeing Friends with Benefits) Even if this a joke… I couldn’t really imagine anyone else better. But of course, that’s just my opinion.
