Kristen Bell Continues her Catching Fire Movie Campaign
Earlier this month Kristen Bell had a chat to the Huffington Post about her return to TV in House of Lies. In that interview she reveals that she’s totally hooked on The Hunger Games and even held a Hunger Games-themed birthday party. And as part of her Hunger Games obsession, she’s let it be known that she’d love to play Johanna in next year’s sequel, Catching Fire.
Kristen is now being featured in the latest edition of Self Magazine and again says how much she’d love to be in the next Hunger Games movie.
“In my dreams, I’d play Johanna Mason. Whether that’s going to happen, I can’t tell you. I’m going to throw my hat in the ring, don’t get me wrong.”

Kristen is one of my favorite actresses, of course she should get the part!! And not only because she is talented, or because I love her, but also because she’s highly devoted to this movie and the books! Because of that, I think THG fans should speak up and request her as Mason. We can promote her campaign and help her get this part!
I couldn’t have said it better myself. Kristen is PERFECT for the role.

Just a thought, what colour is Johanna’s hair? And isn’t like, all spiky in Catching Fire and shaved in Mockingjay?
I actually would really like to see Mila Kunis as Johanna. She would be more of what I pictured Johanna being and looking like.
me to right now im thinking mila or Naya rivera. People say its just because she is mean on glee, but idk she just looks the the part to me.
She’d be an amazing Johanna! Not only is she talented and would definitely fit the part (although I’d say she’d probably have to go brunette), as a massive fan of the Hunger Games you’d know she’d stay true to the character and be extremely dedicated to the role.

I don’t know I’ve never seen her act but she looks a little too nice. I mean I’m pretty sure she could play mean but she just looks too nice. But you never know I didn’t like Josh as Peeta at first but now I have a fan crush on him.
Veronica Mars, Kristen’s best known role, was hardly “nice”. Her role as Elle on Heroes was anything but nice.
I can’t imagine a more perfect actress to play Johanna, whatever her hair color is supposed to be (Jennifer Lawrence is naturally blonde and she’s the perfect Katniss).
First, i could’t see her as Johanna, but after a little consideration i really think it could fit her perfectly, i know she can pull off the attitude Johanna has and she’s an amazing actor to boot.
If you guys had seen her in Heroes, you would know that she has a killer anger streak. Her character was vicious!

Johanna, despite the tough attitude, also has a grief within her that runs deep.

Yes, exactly. Kristen Bell is tiny and looks sweet, but her characters on Veronica Mars and Heroes were ferocious and had killer instinct for sure… the latter one literally.
I think she would be an okay Johanna, but I see Scout Taylor Compton ( Halloween and The Runaways) as Johanna in my head when I read the books!
