Mockingjay Countdown
Have you decided yet how you’re going to get a hold of your copy of Mockingjay? Will you be waiting at the bookshop bright and early on the morning of August 24? Have you pre-ordered your copy so that it will ship to you as soon as it gets in or will you wait until someone else finishes it so you can borrow it from them?
And what about a mockingjay pin? It looks like Scholastic is putting out a pretty good pin with Mockingjay. On twitter, @sewhooked posted a picture of the pin she’s already received after putting in a pre-order recently. She says: “Pre-ordered Mockingjay through my 12yo’s scholastic book club order and he got a Mockingjay pin!” As you can see it looks more detailed than the ones released with Catching Fire. Hopefully we’ll all get a chance to get one soon.
where do you get the mockingjay pin?

I don’t think any of us can get our hands on a mockingjay pin until the book is released. I think the one you see in this post came to customers who pre-ordered through the Scholastic book club. When they released Catching Fire they also had pins through Borders so fingers crossed they do a similar release when Mockingjay comes out. If we find out anything further we’ll put something out asap
WOW! I cant wait to get this. Yeah I saw a key chain of this in Boarders. I was going to get it when I got the Mockingjay book but decided not to. But wow that looks really good, like not a crappy one made of plastic that can break easily.
oh my gosh!!!!!!! we just had a read a thon at my school and they gave away the series and the pin in a raffle and i want to kill the girl who won!!!!!!

CAN’T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!! I already bought tickets at fandango.com and I’m going with my friends. But we need to buy a mockingjay pin and I’m still not sure where to go. I’ve looked on ebay and I found a pin at a reasonable price, but I don’t know if it will ship on time. Urg.
Oh well. At least there is SOMEPLACE out there.

There are some on eBay, some inspired (but not real) ones on Etsy… and Hot Topic and Amazon, but if you don’t live in the US, shipping is SUPER expensive.
