My Hunger Games Cast Countdown – Alan Ritchson
Welcome to Cast Countdown with Hamilton, the part of the show where I introduce a member of the Catching Fire cast and discuss what it is that they will be bringing to the role of their character. Fair warning, just in case you have
not yet read the books, there may be spoilers here. Today’s featured cast member is Alan Ritchson.

About Gloss: A past District 1 victor, Gloss won his games as a Career. Somewhere in his 20′s, he and his sister Cashemere, are both described as being classically beautiful and favorites of the Capitol. He is a capable swimmer and an imposing figure. As leader of the Career pack in the Third Quarter Quell, he is not an ally of Katniss’s and is a dangerous foe.
About Alan Ritchson: At 28 years old, Ritchson fits the bill. He began his career modeling for Abercrombie and Fitch, was a memorable (and cocky) contestant on American Idol, and has portrayed the superhero Aquaman on the show Smallville. Other than the bloodthirsty murdering part, he’s got Gloss’s pedigree down to a tee. He was also, interestingly enough, a name that was tossed around by many fans as being a possible Finnick Odair.
