Our Hunger Games Fan of the Week is Charles (Boomer). He’s 15 and from the US. Here’s a bit more about Charles and why he loves The Hunger Games so much.

What is it about The Hunger Games you love so much?

What I love about the Hunger Games: I love the creative interpretation of our world, the action and complicated love triangles are awesome, but, I like how each character has their own personality and survival instincts.

Who is your favorite character?

Foxface, it seems weird that I don’t favor one of the main characters but, I love how foxface is an underdog but she came near the top, her smartness is also pretty awesome.

What did you like / not like about the movie adaptation

I did like the interpretation of Panem. From it’s flashiest to tiniest cities, to the way each citizen looks and acts for where they live. I did not like the elimination of Madge Undersee, she may not be one of the most important characters at first, but it was HER that gave Katniss the Pin.

What is your favorite quote?

Probably the song Katniss sang to Rue “Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when it’s morning again, they’ll wash away
Here it’s safe, here it’s warm

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Sure, why not. So, I’m not the biggest reader but this book was a special exception. I do own a Mockingjay Pin, but I never “wore” it that much because I am afraid of losing it . And I’ve done my research about the series, a little creepy yes , I’ve looked at the wikis and blogs, and of course I read the books, but I could answer about any question, none of the super detaily ones, but pretty deep ones about the series.
