Official: Meta Golding is Enobaria in Catching Fire

META GOLDING CAST AS ENOBARIA IN LIONSGATE’S THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE
Santa Monica, CA, August 7, 2012- Lionsgate® and the filmmakers of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE are pleased to announce that Meta Golding has been cast in the role of Enobaria in the much anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ worldwide smash hit novel Catching Fire. A former career tribute from District 2, Enobaria is known for the particularly brutal, disturbing way in which she came to win The Hunger Games.
Golding is known to television audiences from series regular and guest starring roles on “CSI,” “Criminal Minds,” “House,” and “Cold Case” and will also be seen in the upcoming independent film The Chicago 8.

Enorboria is a former career tribute from District 2 and is considered brutal – especially for the way she won The Hunger Games she was in. We’d love to know what you think. Do you see Meta as Enorboria. I think she’ll be amazing.

OMG! THIS is NOT what I saw as Enobaria. I saw this person as big, stocky, and willing to gold cap all her teeth into points.
They are playing to the males in the audience for this one. She is too young and too pretty.

I agree she is very pretty, but I think they could do a lot to make her less so. As far as age, she’s pretty much spot on, Enobaria is only 30 and Meta is 32 and in current pictures she does look older than the picture above.

I actually DID picture Enobaria as pretty (as well as deadly). This casting is pretty must spot-on, IMHO.

I’m guessing they would get a prosthetic mouthpiece for her if they have Enobaria’s pointed teeth in the movie at all.
I mean the people who choose the cast are experienced people. They know what they are doing. The person they choose must be the correct kind of actor and look the part. It can’t all be about their looks. I don’t think we can critic until we see the movie.

To all the Haters. You know they can always make her look not pretty for the movie. Its called Makeup. Ever heard of it? They use it in movies and im pretty sure you use it too! The can always make her not skinny but putting foam or something in her costume. It doesn’t really matter if shes skinny they can even make her eat more. It doesnt really matter Really they picked her for the part and I think she will do a GREAT job. Unlike all you haters thinking she looks terrible, wont do the part, and is too old or to skinny to prretty or anything else you come up with. All I can say is when she becomes the favorite from many people in the movie and even maybe your favorite for the part you will be mad at yourself for hating.

I’m glad Meta’s got the part. They can put caps over her teeth—she doesn’t need to have “naturally” sharpened teeth. And production is soon. It won’t be long before we have our first behind the scenes photos, teaser trailer, poster, and more. Catching Fire was my favorite out of the three, so of course I want it done well, and I think Francis Lawrence will actually do much better than Gary Ross.
Why?
Because, hopefully, Lawrence isn’t a fan of the spinning/shaky cam. I know I wasn’t, and it made the action scenes in The Hunger Games a task to see and understand. But if only they’d tell us who Finnick is. If it *is* Sam Claflin, then good for him. No, he wasn’t what I imagined—but if I want to fully enjoy the movie for what it’s worth, I must accept its flaws.

Well she definitely has the face. As for the acting ability, I don’t watch any of her shows so I can’t judge, but so far, I’m fully satisfied about Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch, Jena Malone as Johanna and Lynn Cohen as Mags, so I don’t have a reason to believe that the casting director will blow things up at one point.

I haven’t seen anything she is in, so I have nothing to say about her acting, but Meta definitely looks the part. Hopefully we’ll hear who will be cast as Beetee or Finnick next!

And @HGFan , you were right, that picture is older. Her more recent photos make her look a bit older than that picture, and I think she’ll do great like all the other castings I’ve seen listed.
I think that Francis Lawrence, Suzanne Collins, and all the other people involved in giving out the roles have made perfect decisions that we can trust will be promising.
This is exactly how I pictured Enobaria. I actually think I like her better when she was younger than now. I just wish people would stop complaining about this. She has that look too that makes you think if you mess with her you will regret. Congrats to her and I can’t wait to see her in the movie.
