    Why isn’t he finnick

  2. Amber says:

I really do not like all that muscle on a guy myself but more power to him.

  3. Johanna says:

    1) Wayyyy too much muscle.
    2) Good for him for training…but uhm, why is all this rigorous training needed for him for this movie? It seems like so much effort for a character who will probably get maybe like 30 seconds of screen time. *shrugs*

  4. Veronica Mars says:

Its not that much muscle he is flexing and yes he does need the muscle for the character of Gloss. Gloss is suppose to be intimidating because he is a Career tribute. Another thing, that would’ve been WAY too much muscle if he was playing Finnick but its perfect for the character of Gloss.

To me, Gloss (and Cashmere for that matter) weren’t that intimidating. Like in THG, District 2′s tributes were more intimidating than District 1′s, while District 1′s tributes are pretty. As for *needing* the muscle to be intimidating, I call bull on that. Cato was muscular, sure, but he wasn’t overly muscled like this guy. And yet, he was still intimidating. Hell, Clove was freakin tiny and she still gave me chills. Muscle size really has little to do with it. Even Marvel was intimidating in some ways, but was he built like a tank? No ma’am.

I agree with you, Clove was pretty scary!
If anyone’s seen Isabelle Fuhrman in “the Orphan”, you know that scary doesn’t always mean muscles.. Hahah cause she was one scary little girl..
But Thresh was pretty scary too, and he was tall and muscular, but he had that scary way of being when he killed people and when he yelled at Clove that made his strong body scary too.

I think it’s much more about the eyes, the expression and what kind of “attitude” they have.. and how much they want to kill people, and if they enjoy killing people
