Robert Pattinson Falls For Catching Fire Casting Rumor

Robert Pattinson woke up Saturday morning at the Cannes Film Festival, the morning after his triumphant premiere in Cosmopolis, and saw internet reports that he was being considered for Catching Fire, the sequel to the The Hunger Games.
“I woke up this morning and saw all these things about me being cast in The Hunger Games,” Pattinson tells USA TODAY. “I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent.”
The response?
“My agent was like, ‘No,’ ” Pattinson reports.
“(My agent) was like no one’s going to offer you that part,” Pattinson says, breaking into a laugh. “I was like, thanks for the reassurance.”
Looks as if Robert Pattinson may not be offered the role as Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. But remember NOTHING is final yet. We will deliver the official casting news as soon as it is released. We are just as excited to hear it as you are. Hopefully it is released soon.

Wow you guys are harsh. He’s a really great guy and funny too. Not to mention after Cannes he has a bright future. No of course he would not be playing Finnick that was just a rumour gossip sites made up to cause drama and gulliable people believed it.
he is a terrible actor though, he was ok in harry potter but i personally would hate it if he was in catching fire
Why don’t you watch Little Ashes or even Cosmopolis? Directors like Cronenberg don’t just hire people because they are famous, they do if because they are good actors. After reading the mixed to positive reviews of Cosmopolis, the one thing that stood out is not only is Robert Pattinson’s career on the up, he is also a very daring, brave and very good actor.

I’m sure he is a great guy in real life, I just pictured Finnick as someone with a beach bod. Rob just doesn’t seem to fit.

I honestly don’t understand why everyone is so against Robert being Finnick. I have not read, on any site, one positive note about such headlines. Rob is a good actor, and so many people are saying ‘Oh, I don’t want a sparkling vampire as Finnick’. ….I didn’t know Robert Pattinson was a vampire. That was just a character. And, honestly, there are so many options out there for the role of Finnick, that not everyone will be satisfied either way. If he gets the role, he gets it. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t. We don’t really have much of a say in the choice. Deal with it.
I am so relieved that Robert is NOT playing Finnick. You have to keep Hunger Games and Twilight seperate. I was not going to see Catching Fire if he was playing Finnick because I know it would be a waste of my time to see it. Yes, I know that Hollywood is all about making money but he is just not right. PERIOD!!!!
