RUMOR: Garrett Hedlund has auditioned for the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire
He’s definitely one of the actors that has been rumored to be in the running to play Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, but now word is that Garrett Hedlund actually auditioned for the part the other week.
While we won’t be hearing anything official from Lionsgate until they announce exactly who has the role, according to Lainey Gossip :And here’s your Catching Fire update:
I’m told that Hedlund auditioned for the part of Finnick inCatching Fire for director Francis Lawrence about 10 days ago. It went very well. No final decisions yet but interest in Armie Hammer seems to have waned since Hammer wasn’t as enthusiastic about it as Lawrence was about him. Am told they’re still seeing people. But their priority right now isn’t so much casting as it is about getting the script in better shape.
From that little snippet, it sounds like the director and screen writers still have their work cut out for them. How do you feel about Garrett Hedlund as Finnick Odair?

He’s in Troy, Georgia Rule, Tron, Four Brothers, and Friday Night Lights. There are a couple others but I can’t remember. In Country Strong he sings. I recommend you listen to his music as well as watching his movies.

as much as i try, i just can’t see this guy as finnick. yes he is good looking but i don’t know if i can see garret killing people with a trident. trevor donovan is still my favorite for this part.
