Rumored US Release Date of ‘The Hunger Games’ DVD & Blu-ray
According to The Digital Bits, retail sources are announcing we can expect to see ‘The Hunger Games‘ in stores in the US on August 18th, 2012. With the DVD/Blu-ray release we should be expecting multiple versions with extras.
Retail sources are telling us to expect Lionsgate to release The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and DVD in the U.S. on 8/18. Expect an official announcement soon. There will be multiple SKUs and editions, including discs only, discs plus bonus swag and Target and Walmart retail exclusive versions as well. Expect several retailers to hold “Twilight like midnight release party” events around the country. Sounds like they’re going to make a pretty big deal out of this one.
Keep in mind this is not an official announcement, but it is in line with what we’ve been hearing in the past. We’ll keep you updated on and release date development!

IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT THIS IS THE OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE! The official Hunger Games channel on youtube just posted, then took down the trailer for the Blu-Ray/DVD release and I saw the whole thing before it was taken down. On it said August 18th was the release date and it was a damn good trailer I must say.
Honest, it featured the song Abraham’s Daughter during it or at least it sounded close to it, so when they do put it up you’ll know I was telling the truth. lol
