The Hunger Game inspires Middle School dance project!
The Hunger Games found itself inspiring middle school students to dance!
The dance, choreographed by a 27 year-old seasoned dancer, by the name of Sara Keys, took place at the Davidson community school.
In an interview with Keys, she stated that she figured doing this “would be fun”. Later in the interview, she revealed some intense fans for the fantastic novel, “Since I’ve been teaching Middle School, I’d never heard kids so passionate about a book”.
The final product, was a hour long, 20-dancer production.

What do you think? Would you bring this to schools?

I am so honored that you posted this article! I check this site often and had no idea that our small town performance would be picked up as a topic of interest. I am the dance teacher at Community School of Davidson and our kids LOVED creating this production. Thank you for taking the time to comment on it. We actually had over half of the middle school participate in the performance, with over 150 students dancing and twenty dances total. Best teaching experience I’ve ever had! The material is so inspiring!
That is fantastic. And thank you for sharing that.
If you’d like us to post any photos, or further news from your performance we’d love to share it.
But so glad your students enjoyed it and that it was such a success.
I think this would not be good for people who don’t like hunger games. I know I LOVE hunger games but not everybody. If this dance came to my school, half my friends would be freaking out at how stupid it was. I WOULD BE FREAKING OUT AT HOW AWESOME IT WAS. Don’t get me wrong, I love the hunger games but not everybody does!!!!!!!
I wish I could have seen it!
