The Hunger Games and Game Of Thrones Inspire Baby Names
It was bound to happen. With so many fans of The Hunger Games, it was likely to inspire a few out there to name their children after their favorite character. According to Hollywood Life the hottest baby names for the first half of this year – at least in terms of the ones that got the most views in the baby name guide “nameberry” come from The Hunger games and Game of Thrones.
Hunger Games and Game of Thrones are a common theme, with Senna (and the male form Cinna) coming in at the top of the list. The name saw a 1500 percent increase from 2011! Lenny Kravitz portrayed the likeable character of Cinna in the Hunger Games movie — do you think he had an influence?
Ayra, another popular search, is based on the fiery young heroine from Game of Thrones. Although Aria had been a popular search on nameberry before, the popular TV character spelling with a “y” saw an 800 percent increase in searches.

I think for a boy I would name my kid Gale, and for a girl I would probably name her Rue. Ya know out of hunger games names
I could see myself considering the names Clove or Rue, since I love nature-based names.

I personally wouldn’t, but that is just me. I like names that are older and that you don’t hear everyday, like for a girl, Nerissa, meaning sea nymph. I also like the name Alec for a boy, even though it is more common, but not as common as Alex. But once again, that is just me.

No, my kids will not suffer with those names. The characters are important for me, but those names are horrible.
i would do Finn for a shortened version of finnick
Katniss Rue Primrose Clove for girls Cato Gale Finnick for boys.
I’d name mine Prim Rue and Katniss Tris. I don’t know, you’ve got a smart and innocent one and a brave and strong one. Then the boy would be Finnick.
I would name the girl prim, and boy peeta coz i love josh hutcherson.
But maybe other kids would make fun of their names from da hunga games.
