The Hunger Games DVD Release | Toys R Us goes Hunger Games Crazy
In the lead up to the relsease of The Hunger Games DVD, Toys R Us is going all out for Hunger Games fans. They’ve decided to put on a bunch of special events as well as create The Hob in a few of their top stores.
It’s all going to start at 12.01 on Saturday, August 18 in a number of stores across the US. A full list of stores taking part can be found at Toysrus.com/HungerGamesStores.
“The Hunger Games has quickly become one of the most popular properties in the world, and from dolls to charm bracelets, shoppers are sure to find the broadest assortment of products based on the film at Toys“R”Us,” said Lisa Harnisch, Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager, Toys“R”Us, U.S. “We worked closely with Lionsgate to create a one-stop shopping destination for fans as they anxiously count down the time until the DVD and Blu-Ray release.”
As we reported before, Rue (Amandla Stenberg) will be at the Toys R Us at Times Square in NYC.
Beginning today, the first 225 customers to pre-order The Hunger Games on DVD or Blu-Ray or purchase The Hunger Games merchandise totaling $25 at Toys“R”Us Times Square, while supplies last, will have the opportunity to meet and receive an autograph from Amandla.* Those attending the event can also show off their knowledge of The Hunger Games trilogy by answering trivia questions and winning special prizes.
You can also visit the Hob at stores across the country. Apparently it will be filled with visuals of the Katniss and will showcase a bunch of Hunger Games merchandise.
