The Hunger Games film brings in 68.3 Million in it’s First Day!!!
After a VERY successful midnight opening of The Hunger Games, the film brought in an estimated $68.3 million in its FIRST DAY at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
That number includes the $19.7 million earned in midnight screenings alone, and is the highest single-day earnings for a non-sequel.
The Hunger Games is now the 5th highest single day opening in box office history. The other top films are Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and three of the Twilight Saga movies: New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn: Part 1.
