The Hunger Games Full Trailer – First Reaction

For everyone who was able to tune into Good Morning America a few minutes ago, we all just got our first look at the full theatrical trailer for The Hunger Games Movie! If you missed it, or want to watch it again (and who is not going to do that?), head on over to itunes to view it online shortly. We’ll also get an imbedded version here as soon as possible. Lionsgate should also have the trailer up on their official YouTube page tomorrow.
We’ve finally gotten a good look at the Reaping, parts of the Capitol, and so much more, and even heard lines like Peeta’s declaration of who he is spoken onscreen! After just watching it once I can think of very few things that fans have not been hoping to see in the trailer that weren’t there. What about you, where there any parts you wished they did or didn’t include?
Josh Hutcherson, also, was great, what little time he had to talk, and I think he is going to make a wonderful Peeta. We also enjoyed seeing so many Hunger Games fans in Time’s Square! We wished we could have been there – where any of you there? If so, please share thoughts and photos!
Once we’ve finished going all fangirl/boy over the trailer and had a chance to rewatch it several dozen times, we’ll be back this evening with a detailed review of the trailer, frame by frame and we’ll let you know what we think of each scene. Until then, what did you think!?
I couldn’t breathe right. I have been waiting for this since…..forever. Now I’m even more excited, if that’s humanly possible, and can not freaking wait. And from what I can see they’ve done a really good job at keeping to the book. So, that’s good.
And now I get to see in more detail what Katniss looks like, because I’m dressing up as her for the premiere.
I was speechless. I literally wanted to cry (that’s how excited I am). I was scared they would ruin the book but it is OUTSTANDING! Hands down, this will be the movie of the century! I can’t wait to get all my HG gear. Like Hannah Ramos, I am dressing up as well. But not as a character (thats a good idea though), just as a dedicated fan :’D

When this movie comes out I will dress as Katniss! I am asking my mother for the HG gear for Christmas from the pin to the Bow and Arrow set to the Black leather jacket! I am going to wear it all to the movie.

this is like my 15 time watching it. Why does peeta have a country/gangster accent? Anyhow…. I LOVE IT!!!
The editing of the trailer was outstanding. The panic in Katniss’ voice as Prim was chosen took my breath away. That should pull viewers of the trailer in to want to see the movie. The ending of the trailer as the tributes leave their circles at the cornucopia was a perfect place to end, and leave the viewer wanting more.
since madge isnt in movie… they chose prim to give katniss the pin. not a bad thing!
I loved it! It was amazing! The terrified expression on Katniss’s face as she rising into the arena feels so real. Also the countdown at the end leading to the race towards the cornucopia was just perfect. I can’t wait!
O MY GOD O MY GOD O MY GOD!!!!! I watched this on Good Morning America and i think i had an asthma attack and I don’t have asthma. I loved how they ended it and O MY GOD did Peeta just say that he wants to die himself o yes he did. I love that line from the book so YES. Much better than the teaser trailer YES YES YES!!!! IN YO FACE TWILIGHT. In closing I would like to say O MY GOD SO EXCITED.
The trailer this morning made a 37 year old woman tremble and cry as she watched it. The film adaptation looks beyond amazing. I am literally shaking with anticipation!

ah-ma-Zing!! It feels so overwhelming seeing the characters and Panem come to life. Peeta is beyond marvelous, he sizzles on screen even with what little screen time I’ve seen of him. SO EXCITED FOR THE MOVIE NOW!!
i Loved it, i was hyperventilating and cried, there was only one word that i could think of and that was….PERFECT it was absolutely perfect i love it i can’t wait till march 23 2012
I was in Times Square, it was awesome! I got there around 7am when there were already several other HG fans there. They handed out 2 posters (Katniss and the regular one) and a mockingjay pin to anyone who wanted one. The interview with Josh was in the middle of Times Square and thankfully I got to be in the front so my family saw me on TV, haha. After the interview, Josh gave autographs and took pictures with all the fans (he signed my poster). The only downside was they were playing the trailer on the jumbotron but you couldn’t hear anything (which was my main concern with going to Times Square). But it wasn’t a big deal really, I just rushed to work where watched it about 10 times since I was an hour early! It’s amazing!
