The Hunger Games Movie – Early Draft Script
We’re learning more about The Hunger Games movie bit by bit – including snippets of information about who may or may not have the script (especially for the role of Katniss). Now Entertainment Weekly has managed to get a hold of an early draft of it – with a double page feature in their latest edition.
The script, wrtten by Suzanne Collins and then worked on a bit further by screenwriteter Billy Ray is set to have a PG-13 rating so it remains appropriate for the book’s teen readers. EW points out that the draft script includes a detailed retelling of the Games themeselves, which we all know are a brutal blood sport in which teenage tributes are forced into a televised fight to the death.
Producer Nina Jacobsen told EW that it’s always going to be an intense subject matter, but that you can tell the story with some restraint.

I like Haymitch and Effie–the others, not at all. I’m hoping for Kaya Scodelario to get the part, but that’s just me

@katie – I agree, the others seem too old and not what i imagine. i do like hugh but not as much as robert!!! i’m most worried who katniss will be, she will be the hardest to get just right. there are many good choices for gale and peeta, but again i hope they get it just right… aaagghhh!!! the wait is KILLING me!!!
None of those fit, in my opinion, except Haymitch. Gale looks like a dirtbag and Peeta doesn’t look like Peeta at all! Have the people in EW even read the Hunger Games? My gosh!

Uh…NO. I’M Kaya Scodelario all the way! They’re dream cast is messed up. They don’t look like the characters! Robert downey jr though- Good for Haymitch. Alex Pettyfer or Hunter Parrish for Peeta!!
I applied for the part. I fit the description, I’m unknown, I can sing, I’m a good actress, and I read all the books. I really want the part and if I don’t get it they should at least go w someone unknown. Give someone else a chance movie stars!!!

1. Robert Downey Jr. (As above)
2. That guy who plays as Dr. House in “House”
3. That guy that played Aragorn in the “Lord of the Rings” series

In cathching fire I fit Johanna Mason perfectly. I just hope that they wil give people that arent a star a chance at it… Ya know wt i mean??
