The hunger games cast

The Hunger Games has been nominated for an award at this year’s Casting Society of America’s Artios Awards.

It’s all about recognizing the vital contribution that casting makes to the filmmaking process, and this year The Hunger Games has made it onto the 2012 list, with a nomination for Big  Budget  Feature: Drama

Here’re the list of the nominees:

“The Descendants,” John Jackson, John McAlary (Associate), Andy Henry (Associate), Yesi Ramirez (Associate)
“The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” Laray Mayfield
“The Help,” Kerry Barden, Paul Schnee
“The Hunger Games,” Debra Zane, Jackie Burch (Location Casting)
“Moneyball,” Francine Maisler, Lauren Grey (Associate)

So what do  you think?  For me, The Hunger Games was definitely one of the most ingeniously cast films of the year.  I hope they take home the award!

I have to agree. GREAT casting and it seems to be continuing for CF, as well. I will be interested to see how this turns out. If a couple of the other selections win, we will know it is a political…game playing contest of its own for the winner. The true competition, however, is The Help and The Descendants…IMO.
