The Josh Hutcherson Ryan Gosling Puppy Connection
It has to be right up there as the most adorable news of the year so far! Josh Hutcherson, who has won everyone over with his portrayal of Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games bought a cute puppy and just about every Hunger Games fan in the world went awwwww.
But it seems the very cute Driver was named after a fairly dark character. Josh tells Us Weekly that he took his inspiration from the Ryan Gosling moving Drive.
“I’m obsessed with the movie Drive, and Ryan Gosling‘s character was named Driver,” he told Us Weekly at the GLAAD Awards in Los Angeles Saturday night. “I always thought it was a good name for a dog so it just kind of worked out.”
