It’s almost perfect Cinna-gy! Lenny Kravitz, who plays stylist Cinna in The Hunger Games movie has joined forces with Phillipe Stark to create a line of chairs.
According to a report in NewNowNext, Lenny founded his own design studio back in 2003, where his team of designers work on everything from luxury condos to hotels. Apparently this particular collaboration is being produced by Italian furniture company Kartell.
Kravitz started with Stark’s famed Mademoiselle chairs and went from there. “[Stark] gave me a lot of freedom. So we basically did what we did and he gave his opinions and edited. And of course the piece was already designed, the Mademoiselle chair, which is completely iconic. He’s done his job, right? So it was just about reinterpreting it.” The result? An updated, more comfortable take on a classic. The chairs are currently on view in Milan.
