The Mockingjay Costume – by Jonathan
While filming is underway for the upcoming The Hunger Games movie, another film project is also taking shape.
Jonathan is one of our readers and has posted some of his project work in the fan art section of our Forum. We thought it looked pretty impressive, and wanted to share it here as well. His dream is to work on The Hunger Games movie and has set out to create a film to get noticed by those in the industry.
As a dedicated fan he knows all too well how important it is to be as accurate as possible to the descriptions in the book, so he has started working on a scene from Mockingjay – the one on the rooftop in District 8, where Katniss, Gale and her crew shoot down the Capitol hover bombers.
We can’t wait to see how it all turns out and wish Jonathan all the best in his endeavour to get his work out there and make an impact along the way.

Awesome!! and first
i really dont like it. i think the top is just, not what i thought it would look like.
The focus is all on her boobs! Don’t really like it!
WOW! This is awesome! But I do think the top needs a different style.
I agree the top should be different. I dressed up as Katniss in the mockingjay suit for Halloween, and it was similar but not as outlined with armor.
Apparently we are only allowed to like stuff, because if we say anything other wise (even if not mean, just honest) it gets deleted. I still do not think this outfit looks like was described. But let’s stroke people’s egos or they will cry so – uh, nice try?
I thought it was supposed to be well protect while still trying to make her look attractive. I guess what I want is the costume to not be as bulky and huge? If that makes any sense.

You forgot the nightlock pocket on her shoulder. It should have long sleeves. And she should have sneaker-ish shoes on. And she should have gloves. And I imagined the ‘wings’ just white streaks along the sides of the suit. Sorry if this is a little much. That’s just how I imagined it.
