The Mockingjay Propo

Jonathan Parris is a visual artist and freelance vidoegrapher, who also happens to be a huge fan of The Hunger Games.  He has been using his considerable talent to take the descriptions contained in the three books  to create the world of Panem.  We’ve featured some of Jonathan’s work on our site before – especially the Katniss and Gale bows that he’s recreated in meticulous detail.

Now he’s about to launch a short film.  As Jonathon explains, he has wanted to create a film that will be as accurate as possible to the vision he saw from the text.

“In order to keep it distanced from what is being created for the real feature film, I chose an intense action scene from the third book, Mockingjay.  My hope is that other fans will agree it was how they envisioned it too!”

The short film will be out on March 12.

    This looks pretty good :)

  2. Peeta says:

    rock that do

  3. Emma says:

So this is like a series of short films? That’s awesome! =) But are the ‘actors’ going to be younger? Only because I think the girl in the picture looks pretty young.

  4. Jonathan says:

It’s one short film. In trying to keep it as accurate as possible, the actress is the same age as Katniss. Isn’t it funny how Hollywood has skewed our perceptions on what we think a certain age looks like?

  5. Steff says:

That looks wicked! What makes it cooler? It’s out on my birthday!!! I think that keeping the actors the right age will be good, because we see so many actors who are about 20 playing 16 year olds and…it’s weird. I am so looking forward to seeing this!
