The next Hunger Games Project from Mainstay
Late last year, Production Company Mainstay created a short film as an audition piece for The Hunger Games movie. It was an incredibly moving piece that depicted the scene in which Rue is killed. It was a huge hit and Director Jon Leyne has reported on their facebook page that it’s now been watched over a million times.
John says:
Thank you fellow Hunger Games fans for helping us reach one million views with our Katniss and Rue short film. We were just hoping that someone from Lionsgate would see the film and give our friends a chance to audition. We had no idea it would be seen by so many people. Now we receive requests daily for more Hunger Games films. We know our “no-budget” projects can’t compare to what Lionsgate is going to do. And we can’t wait to see what Gary Ross and crew come up with.
If you haven’t seen it you can check it out here
Since then they shot an equally impressive scene from the Quarter Quell featuring a young Haymitch and now they’re about to start on a new project – this time with Finnick and Annie. We can’t wait to see it!

I like MainstayPro videos. Honestly I think they could have directed the movie if they had wanted to.
I am really looking forward to seeing their Annie and the ever-famous Finnick!
I love MainStayPro!! I’ve been following them since the beginning and I can’t wait, I adore Finnick and his love for Annie.
@Rose Oh me too they do so well!
omg Haymitch I hope they use this guy. I love it!
The minute I saw this I thought how much I wanted him to play a young Haymitch in the movie as well. Or even Finnick. Just put him in Catching Fire Lionsgate, PLEASE!
