VIDEO: Jena Malone Coy on Johanna's Nude Scene in Catching Fire

| July 24, 2013 More

Johanna Mason is kick ass.  Her tough vaneer hides all the hurt she has suffered from her life in The Hunger Games. She is menacing and dangerous and she's not afraid to shock in any way she can.

As those of us who have read the books know, there is one scene in Catching Fire where Johanna is happy to strip off, right there in an elevator in front of Katniss and Peeta.  It's a memorable scene, which many are wondering if it will be included in the movie.

Jena Malone had a chat to Hit Fix at the San Diego Comic Con about her axe wielding character and was asked if we will see her stripping in the movie?

Jena doesn't give too much away but does say that Francis Lawrence and his writers for the sequel have integrated in Suzanne Collins' descriptions of that passage.  She simply adds that “we're quite faithful to the adaptation.”

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Hmmm. Wondering how this scene, which we have already seen in the trailer that Katniss watches Johanna practice in the simulator with her Ax/Pick…When they hit up the Cornucopia the second time, how is that Katniss will be surprised when Johanna is so happy to find a couple of them?

  2. Jorie says:

Would anyone else not be super salty if Johanna gets a nude scene when we don’t get to see Finnick in all his glory in his Parade outfit?? Cuz his outfit in the trailer and stills is definately NOT as scandalous as it should be!

  3. Mark says:

My guess is they’ll still have this scene, but Johanna will be in her underwear instead. There’s no way they’ll do any kind of nude scene based on the fan base.

  4. Dude number 4 says:

Of course she will do it happily and I will see her glorius body. Chicks can have their Odair, why I can’t get to see her tho’?

Fan base is not just kids, ya know.
