VIDEO: Tom Felton interested in Playing Finnick Odair in ‘Catching Fire’
Harry Potter star Tom Felton is a big fan of ‘The Hunger Games‘. And he admits that he would love to get a role in one of the upcoming films, mentioning that he’s keeping his “fingers crossed” about the role of Finnick Odair.
Tom has not been one of the big names mentioned for the part, but what do you think? Could you see Tom Felton as Finnick Odair?

I like him and maybe I have too much Draco in my mind but I just can’t see it. He looks too young somehow even though technically he’s the right age.

Sorry Dude, IMO, playing Draco precludes you from being considered for this role. I don’t see you being able to carry Peeta or Beetee for any distance, let alone, up hill running.

Actually, he’s Tom Felton and he can be whoever he wants to be.
I can defiantly c him as finnick. He did an excellent job in Harry potter as being cocky but towards the end of the movies you saw him break down and become very emotional. I just think that no matter wat to most of us he will always b Draco.
He would probably be awesome, and super hot, but you just can’t mix the huger games, harry potter or twilight…..

I’m pretty sure that you like myself were skeptic about people being cast for roles in Hunger Games but you got past that.
There are people specifically hired to go and scout out the people they want cast and they wouldn’t be given that job if they weren’t good at it, so shut up with the ‘no no no’s’.

I think maybe! I follow him on Twitter and some of the tweets he posts I can imagine Finnick saying! AND YAY TO ALEX TURNING DOWN THE ROLE!!! Alex is hot and all but he can’t act. And remember Tom Felton is an actor NOT just Draco
I’m sure all know it is called ACTING. Just because he played Draco Malfoy- A mean child- in Harry Potter doesn’t mean he can’t play Finnick. he is an ACTOR!
they need another unknown to play Finnick, because its like the hugner games is maeking the young ones more famous than they have ever been.
Alex Pettyfer, Taylor Lautner, Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson, Tom Felton… they are all too well known for their previous roles and are already too well know and will create celebrity clashes on screen! NOT GOOD! let an actor rise to become famous because of the hunger games.

I completely agree with you! I want to see a new face in this role! As much as I like Tom Felton, I don’t see him as Finnick. And I don’t know why everyone wants Zac Efron to be Finnick… he’s a bit too feminine looking in my opinion (even if he does “bulk up”).

I think he would work out fine as Finnick, but I’d still prefer Garrett Hedlund.
I think he currently has too less hair for his forehead.. not that that’s a bad thing of course!
I still think he is better than Robert pattinson or Zac efron. I’m just tired of only seeing him as “the kid who hated Harry Potter”. I say take it.

Felton is neither strong enough, nor tall enough to play the role of a physically powerful Finnick. He is also not very handsome…
i just pity most HP actors like him because people cant get past their HP roles…and always associate everything they do with it…tsk
