As MTV reports, Hunger Games fever is at something of an all-time high. We know that Lionsgate is already turning to some of Hollywood’s best to secure a screen writer for Catching Fire, and that there’s plans for four movies over the next few years.
In light of that, MTV sat down with Woody Harrelson, who plays Haymitch in The Hunger Games movie, to ask him what fans can expect from the series.
“I’ve never even done a sequel, and I just signed on for four frigging movies!” says Woody with a laugh
The basis of the books (and films) are that in the future, a boy and a girl between the age of 12-18 are selected from 12 districts, trained, and then sent to fight to their death on live-television.
“I love Garry Ross, I think he’s just a great director and an amazing guy. [The movie] is almost impossible to describe, it’s so unusual, it’s nothing that you’ve seen before.”
The film stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutchison, we asked Woody how they’ve been on-set.
“I think they’re just marvelous actors, I think they just knocked it out of the park. They really went for it, they worked really, really hard [with] all that fighting stuff. Just as people? They are about as fun as they get, really are fun folks.”
